The nurse was now checking me out to see how bad my arm had been hurt. "Yeah looks like that kid did a number on you," she said looking at the X-rays "How bad is it," I asked. "Well there's good news and bad news," she said. "okay well I'll take the bad news," I said. "The bad news is that you're most likely going to be wearing a cast during your entire summer," she said. "Crap my mom is going to kill me," I said shaking my head "And the good news is that it's only a fracture," she said giving me a smile. After our discussion, she left me alone in the room with my thoughts. It was about 12 minutes later when the door open and Robby Keene stepped in. I hopped straight to my feet my face full of concern. "Robby are you okay what happened who did this to you," I asked. He chuckled to himself before he just nodded and sat down on the other bed. There was an awkward silence between the two of us until he spoke up. "How are you feeling," he asked "I'm fine and my arms fractured so I'm going to be a sling my whole summer," I said. There was another awkward pause until I said "I'm sorry". What" he said surprised. "Sorry for not telling you I found your dad, "I said. "Why didn't you tell me," he asked. "I wanted to but I didn't know how you would react, I'm supposed to be your best friend but I'm training with your dad, "I said sadly.

"Did you at least do what you promised?" he asked. "What, punch him in the face, "I asked. "Did you?" he asked with an intense stare. "Man, of course, I told you I would, not going to lie I was terrified afterward pretty sure he's still going to sneak attack me, "I said smiling. We both laughed at this "I can quit if it's too uncomfortable for you"I said. "No no it's fine plus you got a little brother to look after," he said. "Who did that to you shoulder," I said concerned. "The guy with the mohawk," he said. "Hawk, "I said. "Wait is his name actually Hawk," he asked smiling. "What, no, of course not we just- you know what it doesn't matter I'll handle it, "I said. "Thanks," he said gratefully. I laid back on my bed enclosed my eyes when I heard Robby asked me something. "You were thinking about her wasn't you," he said looking down. "Am I that easy to read?" I asked sitting up. "Well not to the average eye but you know me," Robby said doing a nervous chuckle. "Yeah I do, to answer your question yeah I was thinking about her," I said. "Is that why you came back to the mat?" he asked. "Yeah I almost gave up, and of course she was right there standing in front of me, "I said letting a tear fall down my cheek. "You know she never blamed you not once," he said softly. I didn't answer him I just shook my head in anger at myself. "Dude you have to let the anger and pain go," he said. "I can't because even if she doesn't blame me I blame myself," I said. I wiped my face and smiled. "But hey let's not talk about that right now let's talk about how you made it to the finals"

"Mr. Larusso taught me, he was the best thing I had in my life and I think I messed it up," he said sadly "I wouldn't be too sure about that," I said. "Why do you say that," he asked. I laughed and nodded in my head towards the doorway seeing Mr. LaRusso standing there. "I'm not interrupting anything am I," Larusso asked. "Of course not plus all the sappy stuff was starting to give me heartburn," I said holding my chest. He walked in and smiled at Robby. "You remembered to focus," he said. "You had me up on that tree for hours," Robby said smiling  "Look Robby your dad and me, we have our issues but you and him that's a totally different story," he said. "I'm sorry I lied to you Mr. LaRusso I just wanted to get back at him," Robby said shaking his head. "I know," Mr. Larusso said before taking a seat. "But you're never going to find balance that way, you can't let the bad blood change who you are," he said. "I'm not saying that you have to like the guy I know I never will," he said. "Hey that's still my sensei show a little tiny itsy bitsy of respect," I said. "Yeah okay sorry," Mr. LaRusso said smiling. 

"You just have to try to remember that he's not a monster, he just a guy with a lot of demons Mr. Miyagi always told me there's no such thing as a bad student only bad teachers and your dad have one of the worst teachers ever, it sent him down a wrong path you don't even have to become like him," he said.  "Neither of you do," Mr. Larruso said looking at me. I sighed and shook my head. "Look I know you and my Sensei have bad blood but you've only seen the bad, I actually got the chance to see some actual good and he's been the only person besides my family who's been there for me and my brother when we needed him, "I said. Mr. LaRusso smiled before saying "I respect your loyalty". "And I respect yours I think, "I said awkwardly. "But for now I see how you two fight you fight with anger if you let all that anger go and I guarantee you no matter you go home feeling great," he said. I started thinking about what he told and wondered if it was true but I got snapped out of the thought by Robby.

 "Yeah, I don't know about that my shoulders killing me, I don't think I can fight," he said. "We'll see about that"LaRusso said standing from a seat. for a second I thought he was going to do something truly amazing but in the end, all he did was yell out "Medic". I slap my head and sighed. The medic came and started inspecting Robby's shoulder with me hovering over her. She sighed in irritation and turn to me."could you, you know sit down I need space" she said turning her attention back to Robby. "I NeEd SpACe," I said mockingly before taking my seat. "All right do you feel any pain here," she asked. "Yeah," he said. "Does it hurt when I do this"? "Yeah". "All right ready," she said. And in an instant, she popped his shoulder right back into the socket making a loud crunching noise. "Damn" I exclaimed. "I'm sorry it's so slight interior dislocation so I just popped it back into place but you're going to feel it for the next few weeks," she said. "hey join the club, "I said raising my hand for a high five. "Okay, thanks doc I appreciate it," LaRusso said. "sure," she says before leaving."Hey man you don't need to fight," I said. "Says the guy that got his arm fractured and still chose to fight," he said. "Fair point uh Mr. Larusso you want to tag in, "I said. "The kids right you don't have to fight" Robby sighed before nodding his head "yes I do I'm going to have to face some sooner or later, it might as well be today," he said.
