"Now, if she gets sick.."
"I'll bring her to Madame Promfrey. Come on, Dad! I watched her all summer and she isn't dead yet, is she?"
My father slapped my brother on the back of his head and I laughed at him.
We had been standing in front of the train for 10 minutes now, our father lecturing us. I had been too excited to listen to most of it. This was really happening!
"And you, young lady," my father suddenly said, pointing his finger at me. I stopped laughing and looked up at him with big eyes.
"Do not get into trouble, you hear me? No debates over elitism with the other Slytherins. No using your powers on someone. No boys, got it?" he said.
I furrowed my brows at him,
"I would like to discuss those points," I said. My father raised his finger.
"All of those are forbidden, you hear me?"
Suddenly the clock rang and the train whistled.
"Oh, would you look at that, Dad. It's time to take off," I said, ignoring his protests. I hugged him tightly and pushed my luggage into Johnny's chest before jumping into the train.
"Write me a letter as soon as you've settled!" My father said, standing in front of the windows like the other parents. Johnny stood next to me inside the hallway of the train.
"I'll write when I have a boyfriend!" I called after him as the train started moving.
"I SAID NO BOYS!" my father shouted and I just laughed, waving him goodbye.
Once we couldn't see him anymore I turned to look at Johnny who raised his eyebrows at me.
"What?" I asked. He snorted.
"You wanna date somebody?" he questioned.
'Yes, to distract myself from your stupid best friend who couldn't stop doting on me all summer ' I thought. Of course I didn't voice my inner thoughts, just shrugged my shoulders.
"Who would even date your annoying ass?" he asked as we began walking through the train. I opened my mouth to reply but I was interrupted by two very familiar looking boys standing in our way.
"And then I blew up my aunts kitchen but it really wasn't that big of a deal because... oh my," one of them said, stopping his story half way as he saw me.
"Is that you, Lia Kim?" the boy next to him asked me and I finally recognized them.
"Seamus and Dean, right? Yes, it's me. I'm back this year," I replied happily, smiling brightly.
Seamus flushed red and I turned to look around to smirk at my brother who just rolled his eyes.
"I'll be searching for Cedric. You're on your own, bye," he said dryly before walking away.
I looked back at Seamus and Dean and smiled sweetly before cocking my head to the side,
"Do you know where Harry Potter and his friends are?" I asked sweetly.
__________
"Hey, where were the toilets on this thing again?"
"Just down the corridor,"
"Thanks,"
I walked out of our compartment to follow the directions Harry had given me. Maybe I would get lucky and bump into the candy lady as I was dying for some chocolate frogs.
I went to the toilet and on my way back I did bump into someone. Unfortunately it wasn't the candy lady.
"Kim," the snarkish voice of Draco Malfoy said while he looked me up and down.
To my surprise he was alone. Usually he was surrounded by his friends or his father.
"Malfoy," I replied curtly.
"You got hurt during the raid, didn't you?" he suddenly asked, his tone mocking.
"Daddy tell you?" I just replied in the same standoffish way.
He smirked and took a few steps towards me.
"I saw it, actually. I was there too, hiding in the woods,"
'Hiding like a little bitch, yeah' I thought and snorted,
"Thanks for the help, then," I said, trying to move past him. He grabbed me by my arm to stop me and I glared at him.
"Exactly what do you think you're doing?" I asked threatingly. I really wasn't in the mood for some Idiot groping me.
"I saw a lot of things back there. I saw how you just stopped a curse and you didn't even have a wand. I saw you conjured, what, lightning? How did you do it?" He asked as he inched closer.
"What makes you think I'll tell you anything?" I asked, pushing my shoulder so he'd let go of my arm. I strutted past him but I was only able to take a few steps before my wrist was grabbed, causing me to twirl around.
The next thing I knew was that my back collided with something hard and Draco stood in front of me. He had pushed me against the wall.
"Listen up, I already told you first year you should choose the right side. You didn't and now look where it got you. No matter how pure your blood is, they won't spare you because you're a little traitor," he urged, both of his arms grabbing me by my shoulders and forcing me to stay in place.
"That's why you didn't talk to me during all those banquets and tea parties? Because I rejected your little freakish conspiracy theory first year?" I asked in shock, watching how the anger washed over him.
"You sided with Potter!" he growled, almost spitting out the name.
"You know what? I feel sorry for you," I just said with as much spite as possible. I wasn't in the mood to have discussions with him.
His eyebrows furrowed and his nostrils flared up as he opened his mouth to say something but I grabbed both his wrists and tore his hands off my shoulders.
"And note that, if you ever touch me again I will do you much worse than I did your Daddy's little friends!" I said, putting meaning behind every word. Then I strode off.
"You're being a bitch," he called after me.
"Takes one to know one, asshole!" I shouted, not even turning around .
What a great way to start my school year.
