''Have some tea, mother,'' I said as I put the cup down in front of her. She sat at the edge of her seat, chewing on her lip.

''I am sure they will be back soon,'' I said, referring to my father and aunt.

My mother sighed,

''I'm just glad they didn't take you there....with all the aurors...''

I sat across from her and took her hand in my own. We waited for another long, turtorius while and then finally they appeared in the room.

My aunt and my father...holding someone in his arms.

My mother immediately shot up and so did I. As we approached I could see that the person was entirely covered in a black robe and I swallowed down the sickening feeling I got. Was my father holding...a corpse?

''Is that...Is that the boy...?'' my mother gasped.

Bellatrix grumbled,

''We didn't get him,'' she said.

I ignored the relief I felt. I couldn't allow myself to feel that.

''Then who...?'' my mother asked, eyes on my father.

My father sighed and nodded at Bellatrix whose attitude suddenly changed. She smiled brightly as she moved her wand over the figure, the black rope disappearing.

I couldn't help the name that slipped over my lips,

''Lia,'' I breathed, looking at the unconscious girl in my father's arms. She was covered in blood and her skin pale.

''How did you get her? We were most afraid of what she could do,'' mother breathed.

''They are all disguised as Potter. Damn polyjuice ! Well, I was about to cut one of them in half when she jumped in line. Still got a bit of him though. I doubt he heard her screams with the missing ear,''

I swallowed hard, clenching my eyes shut to get the imagination out of my mind.

''She even jumped out of my cousin's wretched motorcycle to get in the way. What a stupid girl,'' she muttered.

''We got her before she hit the ground,'' my father said proudly. I know he didn't do it out of sympathy but I still felt grateful that he saved her. I probably shouldn't. Maybe she should've hit the ground. I can't imagine what would be next.

''We should have just let her fall to death! What will we do when she'll wake! The dark lord said she gets stronger with age!''

''It is up to the lord what to do with her! He may want to use her as a weapon again!'' My father declared.

''Well then, call him Lucius!'' Bellatrix demanded.

''Are you sure she's not dead yet?'' I asked, my voice weak. There was so much blood.

''We stopped the bleeding momentarily. The dark lord will tell us if she's worth saving,'' Bellatrix spat.

I opened my mouth to protest but in that second my mother turned around to look at me. Her expression was serious, like she knew I was about to do something wrong.

''Go to your room,''

I could do nothing but obey, leaving the fate of the girl I loved into the hands of the one I feared the most.

I wished she had hit the ground.
