-Draco Pov-

The following weeks went by in a blur of ups and downs. Lia was often taken away by my mother to do god knows what. Sometimes she came back bloody or with her clothes ripped. She would never tell me what she had done, just ask me to play with her.

Playing around. That seemed to be her new favorite thing. She would run through our manor, laughing while I tried to chase her. She'd beat me in wizard chess or cheer on me when I practiced my flying. It was nothing but blissful.

Yet..

The more time I spent with her the more I realized how much she had changed. Especially one occasion wouldn't leave my mind;

I had been sleeping soundly in my bed when I was woken up by a heavy weight suddenly jumping on me. When I had cranked my eyes open I could see that it had been Lia, laying on me with her chin resting on my chest, her eyes looking at me expectantly.

"It's night, what are you doing?" I groaned, trying to shake her off. She wouldn't bulge.

"When a lady jumps into your bed you don't ask silly questions, Draco," she said seductively. She pulled the blanket between us down a little, revealing my open shirt. She smirked when she saw it and I rolled my eyes at her antics before looking into her face again.Her eyes had dark circles underneath them and I furrowed my brows.

"Are you just now getting back? What did they make you do?" I asked out of concern

"Are you just now getting back? What did they make you do?" I asked out of concern. Lia huffed before pushing herself up with her arms, hovering over me.

"Nothing even remotely close to fun which is why I'm here now,'' she said, sly grin on her face before she moved down to kiss a place behind my ear.

"Lia," I said in warning but she ignored me as she kissed down my neck.

I held onto her waist before turning us around, myself now hovering above her. She smiled like the devil and I squinted my eyes at her.

"You're always so awfully resistant when I kiss you. Why?" she demanded to know while she slung her arms around my neck. I wanted to think of an answer but I couldn't. It was true, on some level I had been resisting her physical affection. Why? I had craved this for so long so why was I holding back?

When I didn't answer she sighed before pushing me off and getting up.

"Come on then, I'll show you something," she said before walking off.

We walked through the grounds, the moonlight our only source of light. Lia eventually walked between the flowers my mother had so carefully planted there and I halted,not knowing where she was leading me. She finally turned around to look at me expectantly.

"Are you coming?" she asked.

Only in this moment I took in her appearance. Lia had always looked like a princess yet what had been soft and pure about her before was now dark and dangerous. Her dress was as black as the night meanwhile her lipstick was as red as blood. She seemed so familiar yet so strange.
