Malfoy Manor was quiet except for the melodic tunes of the piano I was playing. Narcissa stood next to it, her hand on the black hood, a faint smile on her lips.

"Draco used to play for me," she whispered to herself. I nodded, knowing this full well. Draco had asked me in a letter to do this for her.

I was playing a song I knew by heart, my eyes closed as I focused on the tunes. I had forgotten the name of it, just let my fingers move on my own.

I hit a certain note and felt a cold shiver run through my body, a memory forcefully coming back to me.

I was about six years old, way too small to sit on the giant piano in our mansion. My feet dangled in the air and my hands awkwardly tried to reach the keys when I could hear a chuckle behind me. I turned around to see Johnny, 8 years old at the time, laugh at me.

I pouted and he grinned, running up to the piano and sitting on the bank.

"Do you want me to teach you?" he asked and I smiled brightly,

"Do the thing where I'm playing!" I grinned and he nodded before patting his lap. I scooched over and he easily picked me up, sitting me on it. He stretched his arms out behind me and I did the same. My fingers didn't reach the piano but his did and as he started playing it felt as if his hands were mine and I laughed brightly.

"Call Daddy! I wanna show him that I'm playing!" I called out and Johnny laughed before telling a house elf to call our father. A few years after that, when I had finally grown taller, he had taught me how to play that song. Every year during christmas we'd play it together for our family. For us.

"Lia? Honey are you okay?"

I snapped out of my thoughts as I looked up at Narcissa, perplexed.

"I'm fine," was my immediate response but my voice betrayed me, cracking halfway through the words.

Narcissa's face twisted in pity and she reached her hand out to touch my cheek. Only then I had noticed I was crying.

How strange.

How strange
