The next thing I did when I saw Draco again wasn't something I was proud of. The jealousy still lingered in me because even if I had no desire to be with him it drove me insane to know that he was kissing others (and especially that toad) so easily after my rejection. I knew if I wanted to get under his skin all I'd have to do was pay attention to someone he didn't like.

That's how I ended up making out with Daniel Martens...again.

That poor dude must hate me when I told him right afterwards it didn't mean anything but seeing the reaction on Draco's face when I had pulled Daniel towards me with his tie right after we were coming out of potions (where Draco hadn't talked to me at all) was priceless.

I wasn't surprised to hear a knock on my door that evening and I opened it with a smug expression, stepping aside to let Draco storm in.

"Good evening to you too, Malfoy" I joked as I closed the door. His nostrils flared up and I grinned at him.

"I hate you so much,'' he said. I blinked at him innocently and cocked my head to the side.

"Why?"

He scoffed,

"Don't even pretend," he just said. I had to bite a laugh back.

"Oh, do you mean what happened with Martens earlier? Oops, you saw that?" I faked.

"I don't know if I want to smack you or kiss you right now, Kim," Draco breathed and I smiled widely.

"Do either of those and I'll kill you," I hummed with a bright smile.

"I just don't get it. Why make me upset when you don't even like me?" he asked, his hand running through his hair. I shrugged,

"Not everything revolves around you," I simply said. Draco eyed me for a while, squinting at me.

"Pansy told me what happened and you seriously want to tell me it wasn't because of me?"

I just shrugged.

"Just because your girlfriend is a blabbermouth doesn't mean my action are associated to you,''

A long pause and then finally..

"She isn't my girlfriend,''

My heart beat faster but my face kept its cool.

"So you just snog her?" I asked. Now he shrugged.

"You just snog Martens,"

I glared at him and he smirked.

"I told you before, Lia," he said, voice low as he stepped towards me. The way he said my name made my brain mushy which is probably why I let him put his hands on my waist as he moved his head so his lips hovered above my ear, inhaling his scent.

"Your unpredictability is extremely predictable," he breathed, moving down to kiss the skin of my neck.

"And I told you I don't want to have anything to do with the son of a death eater," I mumbled as I craned my neck to give him better access. I still meant every word but it was hard to stand by them with the way he laughed, his hot breath hitting my skin before he kissed it again.

Draco moved so he could look into my hooded eyes, his hand coming up to place a bit of my hair behind my ear.

"And you haven't changed your mind about that?" he asked.

I bit my lip, my eyes gliding over his stupidly handsome face and eventually landing on his lips.

"I mean...I guess I don't have to marry you," I mumbled as I got closer to him.

"Just one dip into the dark side then, huh?" he asked with a smile. That damn smile.

I nodded and as I did so my eyes fluttered shut, the next thing I felt were his soft lips on mine. I had never expected Draco Malfoy to be soft with me yet here he was, kissing me as if we had all time in the world and no care.

And for that moment we didn't.
