I was humming to myself, almost dancing through the corridors. Finally I reached the wooden door carved with ornaments and knocked on it. The door swung open by itself and I stepped inside. Draco was in the middle of getting changed and I smirked to myself when I saw the exposed skin of his chest. He rolled his eyes at me.

He rolled his eyes at me

"What's up?" he asked. I stepped up to him and moved my arms around his neck, his eyes on my face as I did so.

"We're having a party," I smiled. Draco raised one eyebrow.

"For my birthday?" he asked and I nodded. He wrapped his hand around my arm and pushed it off before stepping away to look out the window in thought. The action made me frown - was he still avoiding my touch? He had been acting strangely ever since the garden incident.

"Will you be able to attend it? The ministry still believes you to be missing and they are watching our house. They may sneak in here and-"

I held my hand up to stop him.

"Your mom will only invite people who won't care about the ministry's top 10 missing people list anyways," I declared with a shrug.

Draco nodded and then there was a pause. I raised my eyebrow at him and his shoulders sank as he sighed.

"Have you read the prophet?" he asked me hesitantly.

I didn't care for the news but the way Draco was squirming made me curious. I looked around the room and found the paper on a table beside the fireplace. I reached my hand out and it flew into my hand.

The front page entailed a large picture of Sirius Black. From what I could tell he was in the ministry, standing behind a podest. Next to him were Albus Dumnledore and Alastor Moody.

"WE WILL GET HER BACK" - Redeemed Wizard Sirius Black on the Order of Phoenix, the fight against You-Know-Who and missing student Lia Kim (16).

I scoffed at the headline.

"They act like I didn't go on my own," I muttered under my breath. In my hand the paper set on fire and Draco jumped back.

"You still have quite the temper, don't you?" he sneered. I simply shrugged with my shoulders.

"Are you excited for it?" I then asked Draco. I wondered what it felt like to be excited. I had lost my memory of the feeling.

"It's not going to be my party, anyways. They'll say it's for me but in the end it's for their contacts in the ministry and whatnot. All my friends are the children of those people because they were brought along for these parties just like I was," he said bitterly.

His childhood trauma bored me and I rolled my eyes at him,

"At least there is going to be cake so don't act this depressed," I huffed. Draco studied my face for a while. I could recognize disappointment in his eyes, making me sigh. He still expected me to be the warm girl I once was. The girl that would've comforted him while making a sarcastic comment about the situation. I got tired of having to explain to him that she was gone. To me right now Draco Malfoy was nothing more than a little plaything. A way to pass time.

'''What?'' I asked pointedly, annoýed at his antics.

''Nothing affects you, does it? You truly don't care anymore!'' he spat and I furrowed my brows at him.

''Stating the obvious here, aren't you?'' I sneered. He scoffed as he glared at me.

''You act like your life is so hard. Poor little rich boy doesn't have his daddy anymore so he sulks when he doesn't get all the attention in the world anymore,'' I said in fake sympathy, exaggerating my tone. Draco's nostrils flared up and he stepped up to me, his hands shaking.

''Take that back!'' he demanded and I put my chin up high,

''Or what?'' I demanded to know.

Draco growled before taking me by my shoulders and pushing me against the nearest wall with such force that I hissed at the pain.

''Just because you lost your emotions doesn't mean you have to act like a fucking bitch all the time, Kim!'' he spat and I smirked, his anger exciting me. Finally he was touching me again, giving me passion. It was something my empty soul craved.

''Don't act like you don't like it,'' I mused. Draco breathed loudly through his nose. God, it was still so easy to rile him up. His temper had always been as short as mine.

''I don't. I hate it with a passion,'' he stated, inching closer and pressing me further against the wall.

''This is my house. You should stop pretending everything in here belongs to you. That I belong to you whenever you feel like it,''

I smiled and cocked my head to the side,

''So you want me to leave then?'' I asked with a smirk, knowing the answer to that question full well. The way he clenched his jaw and glared down at me only proved my point.

''You got two choices here, Draco,'' I began as I placed my hand against his bare chest, breathing his name in a way that I knew would make him shudder.

''Either I leave,'' I said, inching closer.

''Or?'' he breathed, his voice wavering. Our faces were mere inches apart and he closed his eyes, inhaling deeply.

''Or you make me stay,'' I whispered, a smirk on my face as I grabbed his shirt and tugged on it.

In the matter of seconds his lips were on my and I was pushed back into the wall. I craned my neck as Draco kissed it down.

His heart was so easy to toy with.
