Draco PoV

He stepped between their bodies, his naked feet covered in blood. The snake who had done most of the damage was next to him. I thought that maybe after all this time I would've gotten used to it. The killing. The smell of blood. His footsteps echoing through the halls.

But I hadn't. Just looking at it made me feel sick.

My mother and father were next to me and I was terrified of what was going to happen. We had let them go. Because of us they had been able to impersonate Bellatrix.

Because of me

Because of me.

''Well, this is an unfortunate turn of events, don't you think so, Lucius?'' he asked, halting in the middle of the hall, the bodies of the goblins around him as if they meant nothing.

''My lord, i-if I may...if I may ask..just what could they have wanted from Bella's vault..?'' my father said, stumbling over his words.

''None of your business, Lucy,'' a voice suddenly spoke up and we turned around to see the rest of the crew, led by my aunt.

I furrowed my brows, noticing how they were much less than before. Voldemort seemed to think so too.

''What happened to Sanders, Greenfinger, Crux and the other's?'' he asked. Bellatrix whimmered, looking down to her feet.

''We met them on their way out, my lord. But she was with them and Crux, Keithrow and Sanders...they fell, my lord,'' Bellatrix said, cowering.

She? Who did she-

Oh no. My heartbeat sped up at the sheer thought. No...it couldn't be...

''Who?'' Voldemort gritted between his teeth, obviously upset about his fallen followers.

Bellatrix perked up and whistled loudly. Two death eaters entered, holding someone whose face was covered, between them. They walked past us and a hint of perfume hit my nose and I immediately knew for sure. My heart felt as if it sunk to my stomach.

They moved forward and pushed her down to her knees in front of him. They stepped away and one of them conjured shackles around her before stepping away. Voldemort took a step forward and flicked his wand, causing the mask to disappear. I stepped a little ahead to be able to see her face.

There she was.

She looked wild, almost savage. Her hair stood in all directions and there was blood all over her, especially coming from her nose. She must have been punched.

Lia looked up at Voldemort and she...started laughing, showing her her teeth which were also stained with blood. She smiled brightly, as if she had won a great battle against him. He slapped her, hard, causing my breath to get stuck in my throat. But as turned her head back to him she just kept smiling though her eyes were vicious, full of hatred.
