I woke up in a room I recognized easily as my room in Sirius Black's home. It took me a couple of seconds to get used to the brightness and then I groaned, feeling how soar my body was. God, I felt like shit. I lifted the blanket and forced myself to move up. Every step hurt but it felt good to move nonetheless. I walked through the house and found no one. Hm, someone would have to be here.
I kept walking until I finally heard distant voices coming from the living room. I leaned against the wall as I kept dragging my feet ahead, my eyes trying to close.
Finally I reached the living room and leaned against the doorframe, catching my breath. My side hurt extremely
''Harry says they are close!''
I blinked and saw Sirius in the room, talking to Remus. Others were there too but my sight was slightly blurry.
''Muggle Borns are going missing every day! We can't just put everything on three 17 year olds! We should go with them!'' Remus called.
''If they wanted us to go with them they would ask! And if they need help they know that we can always come!'' Sirius inclined.
''I agree with Remus. These are children, our children, and we have no idea where they are or what exactly they are doing!'' Molly Weasley called as she entered the room from the kitchen.
''They are fine, Molly,'' Sirius inclined and I decided it was time for me to make my presence known.
''I sure hope so otherwise I feel like shit for nothing,'' I groaned.
A bunch of people called my name and I was quickly surrounded and dragged over to a sofa to sit on it.
''Oh dear, you still look so pale. Well, no wonder, you haven't eaten anything in forever. Let me get you something real quick,'' Ms: Weasley immediately said before leaving the room.
''So you're finally awake,'' Sirius said with a smile, sitting on an armchair across from the sofa, ignoring the exasperated Remus.
''How long was I out for?'' I asked, looking around the room. There were Tonks, Remus, the twins, Bill and Fleur, Mr. Weasley, Kingsley and Sirius.
''A few weeks,'' Fred who was sitting next to me on the sofa said, his voice cracking at the end.
''Weeks?'' I called out in shock, jerking slightly and groaning afterwards.
''Well, you appareted here but you splintered on your way. Your stomach was ripped wide open, it's a surprise that you're still in one piece actually,'' Remus explained. I took in the news...or I tried to.
''Give me that,'' I croaked, reaching my hand out for Sirius glass. It flew into my hand and I drowned whatever liquor was in it in one shot, hissing afterwards.
''This for sure wasn't pumpkin juice,'' I said, my face twisting in disgust. Sirius laughed and got his glass back.
''So...a few weeks?'' I asked again, turning my head to the person closest to me, which was Fred.
''Um...yeah...'' he said before awkwardly turning his head. I furrowed my brows and turned around to George who was sitting next to the other side of me. He did the same.
''What's with you two?'' I asked.
Tonks, now way less pregnant than the last time I had seen her, stepped forward, rolling her eyes while she took off her coat.
''They're blushing because you're half naked,'' she explained before handing me the coat. I turned to look down on myself. I was wearing a simple nightgown, slightly sheer. I turned to look at Fred and George again who avoided my gaze furiously and began chuckling.
''That is funny,'' I said, laughing some more. Wow, it was really funny. I began laughing even harder, doubling over.
''Is it that funny?'' I heard someone whisper in confusion, making me laugh harder. Then slowly my laughter sounded shrill to my own ears and suddenly there was a wetness on my face. I had started crying.
''Lia?'' I heard the twins concerned voices say at the same time, feeling their hands on my back.
I cried harder, hiding my face in my hands.
''I'm sorry,'' I said, coming back up.
''It's just been a lot,'' I cried, my voice breaking off at the end. Everyone shifted uncomfortably, no one really knowing what to say. Sirius sighed and put his glass down before finally standing up from his chair. He walked up to the sofa, kneeling down to be at my level before taking my face in his hands.
''You did what you had to do and it worked. It helped. Harry and the other's made it out okay thanks to you. A bunch of dangerous death eaters are out of the game thanks to you. You made the world a little safer,'' he spoke and his words felt like medicine to an open wound.
''I know,'' I mumbled although it didn't sound too convinced. Rather pathetic.
''It's still okay not to be okay, kid,'' he finally said, his thumbs wiping my tears away and I sobbed a little harder before nodding finally.
''Come on now, the two little virgins will help cheer you up while you get some protein in you, hm?'' he said, a cheeky smile on his face whilst he patted my cheek before standing up.
The twins simultaneously called out very offended ''HEYS!'', making me chuckle through the tears.
I stood up and Tonks came forward again to put the coat around me before squeezing my shoulder.
''Come on, I'll show you the new faces I learnt,'' she said, smiling.
''Did you finally get the elephant right?'' I sniffled and she smiled as she nodded.
''You also got to see Teddy! He's sleeping upstairs right now!''
I smiled at the thought. Babies used to freak me out but I've been kind of excited for this one.
Each of the twins stretched an arm out and I took both, letting them escort me into the dinning room. After that I had the best dinner of my life...with my family.
