The pain was getting less but it was still there.Suddenly Draco next to me, nudging my shoulder,
"Your friend is coming," I heard him say, although his voice sounded rather distant. Then his presence was gone. I opened my eyes and in fact saw Daphne approaching me. Class was already over? How much did I miss?
"Ready for History?" she asked, smiling.
I groaned which I guess was a yes for her. I collected my things and got up, ignoring the pain inside of me. That ripping feeling was an illusion, nothing more,
"Hey, do you need help with those?" some boy asked me the second we walked out of the classrooms, pointing down at my books.
"Yes please," I groaned, handing them to him. He smiled brightly and I felt bad for not even having the slightest clue who he was.
"Hey, are you okay? You're really pale and sweaty.."
It had taken Daphne 10 minutes and three corridors to notice my reclining status. Right now we were in the busiest hallway, students swarming all around us, everyone going into a different direction. Mcgonagall was standing in the middle of it all, shouting directions.
" 'M fine," I mumbled, weakly swatting Daphne's hand away as she had grabbed my shoulder.
"Lia you don't look good at all and that's saying something considering you're you," Daphne continued. I just groaned and kept walking, pushing against the pain.
Daphne said something to the boy and he walked off. I blinked after him but my eyelids felt heavy as well as my limbs.
"Lia, please..." Daphne tried again, softly grabbing my arm.
"I swear...I'm fine.." I mumbled, walking towards the nearest wall to steady myself.
A short break would do and then I could walk again. I definitely wasn't passing out in the busiest hallway.
"Ms.Kim, are you alright?" Mcgonagall suddenly shouted. I immediately tried to perk up, pushing myself off the wall.
"Fine! Super fine!" I called before taking a few steps. Well, trying to. I kind of ended up against the wall again. It was a really great wall, okay? Giving me loooots of stability and support and...
Okay, maybe I wasn't so fine.
"Ah, Mr. Diggory! You're friends with Ms. Kim, right? Please take her to the hospital wing," I could hear Mcgonnagal shouts.
"God, no," I whispered, forcing my eyes to stay open as I pushed myself a little further. If only my legs weren't trembling I might've gotten away before the last person I wanted to see in this whole damn castle stood in front of me.
"Lia," he breathed in worry and I groaned.
"Go away, Cedric," I said, trying to move past him. In reality I had only managed to cling more onto the wall than before.
"Lia you're passing out, let me help you!" Cedric said urgently.
I turned to lean my back against the cool wall and involuntarily closed my eyes.
"I'm just resting," I said, feeling my knees slowly starting to give in.
"Against a wall?" Cedric asked sarcastically. He was definitely infuriated with me.
" 's a comfy wall," I mumbled, blinking.
Then my knees gave out and I was gliding down.
Cedric catched me before I could hit the ground and as he lifted me up bridal style I passed out for good, the last thing I saw his being his disapproving face.
