I had managed to sneak into my dorm undetected, no encounter with Pansy or anyone else that hated me.

After I had changed out of my school uniform and into comfortable clothing it knocked on my door and I was excited to see Daphne standing there.

"Hey, oh Merlin!" I smiled as I hugged her.

She didn't hug me back and I awkwardly let go of her.

"Everything alrigh-"

"Why are you back?" she hissed immediately and I raised my eyebrows.

"The ministry made me. I thought you'd be happ-"

"It's been awful all year, okay? With you back they will just tease me more!" she suddenly said and I've never seen her this upset.

"What? Oh come on, they're harmless. I'll-"

She scoffed, interrupting me.

"Protect me? You mean be kind enough to hang around me until you get sick of me and leave again. Just stick to your Gryffindors, alright? I don't need your pity!" she called out, turning on her heel and leaving again.

"Daphne, wait!"

I ran after her but before I reached her dorm I collided with someone.

I groaned, not moving. I could recognize the cologne instantly.

"So much to never seeing me again, huh, Kim?" he scoffed.

I turned on my heel and hastily walked away.

"Kim!" he called after me but I ignored him, only walking faster.

When I reached my room I tried to close the door shut but Draco stopped it with his hand and forcefully kept it open.

"Leave!" I demanded.

Draco pushed the door open and entered my room, letting it fall shut behind him.

I looked at him in surprise, my mouth agape as his eyes went over my body.

"You look good, Kim,"

"Get the hell out of here!"

"I look good too, admit it,"

My face flushed as I looked over him

My face flushed as I looked over him. He had grown a few inches and was taller than me. His hair was longer and it wasn't gelled back like usual. His clothes were black and tight.

"Get out," I demanded. He smirked.

"Unbridge made you come back, huh? Since your father is associated with Dumbledore now they thought he was hiding you for a reason," he explained.

He stepped closer to me and I took a step back,

"They weren't wrong, were they? What did you do for a whole year?" he asked as he stepped even closer. I stumbled back even more, my back eventually hitting my bed post.

"None of your business. Now get out,"

"Or what?" he asked, raising his eyebrow in challenge.

I huffed.

"I zapped your ass once and I will do it again," I said while glaring at him.

He laughed.

"Look, Kim, things have changed. With Unbridge the right kind of people have their way here," he said cockily and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm just here to take the OWLs, Draco,"

"After a whole year with your grandmother you just want to study? When you came back last year you snogged the whole castle before Diggory pinned you down,"

I walked up to him and stomped on his foot, making him hiss in pain.

"It wasn't the whole castle, you idiot," I defended myself as I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"Yeah, you're right. Just me then, I guess," he smirked.

My nostrils flared up. I didn't know if I was angry at him or at my stupid heart for beating so fast it felt like it wanted to escape my chest.

"Look, Draco, let's get this out of the way. The night I kissed you or whatever I was incredibly drugged up with potions. I felt vulnerable and sad because I had almost died. You got it? It took death to make me kiss you!" I almost yelled at him.

All of the sudden he placed his hands on my face with such force it felt like he was slapping me before he smashed his lips onto mine.

I panicked as he forcefully kissed me and tried to push him off but he wouldn't budge. It hurt and as I tried to hit him he grabbed my wrists and kept them in place.

He tried to open my mouth with his tongue and I hardly bit on it, causing him to let go of me with a groan.

His hand came up to his bleeding mouth and I didn't even wait to punch him in the face.

"What the fuck!?" he called out angrily.

"What on earth made you do that? Do you want us to be quitt or something? Why on earth do you think I would want to kiss a wizard Nazi?"

"A wizard what?"

I groaned, my hands running through my hair in distress.

"Your father is a goddamn death eater, Draco. And don't pretend that he isn't back!" I said when I saw how he opened his mouth to object,

"Do you honestly think I could be with someone whose on the side of those who killed my mom and my boyfriend? Who try to kill my best friend and are against everything I stand for?"

The words almost exploded out of me as I yelled them at Draco Malfoy who glared at me.

"So this is it?" he asked, holding his face.

I sighed, looking at him in despair.

"There never was anything to begin with, Draco. I thought we were friends back then but you just wanted me to turn to your side before he came back, didn't you?" I asked.

Draco opened his mouth to say something but then closed it again. Somewhere deep inside of me I had hoped that he would have disagreed and when he didn't I felt deeply disappointed.

We stared at each other, our chests heaving.

"Why were you even here? In the girls dorms.." I mumbled after a while, looking down at my feet awkwardly.

He sighed and I glanced up at him to see him run a hand through his hair.

"I wanted to welcome you back, I suppose," He muttered.

I crossed my arms in front of my chest and glared at him.

"What a wonderful gesture," I said sarcastically, Draco clenching his jaw.

"I can't help if you chose a side, Kim," he gritted between his teeth.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair.

"And I can't help that you're born on the wrong side," I breathed. His face fell and he looked at me with wide eyes before I continued.

"I just wish you wouldn't believe everything they said," I muttered.

"What makes you think I do?" he said, stepping closer to me again, our body's mere inches apart.

"Don't you?" I asked as I looked up at him, hopeful.

Once again he opened his mouth to reply... but closed it again. I sighed, stepping away from him.

"You should leave," I said with a heavy heart. Draco nodded curtly.

"I should," he said before turning around and leaving.

What a shitty welcome.
