"She from Jamaica, Queens only came to Harlem to shop. Her mother just got a divorce and her father a cop. I learned this about 10 minutes in the conversation. I'm thinking I don't even know you why that information?"

I woke up to loud music playing downstairs. I groaned and walked into the bathroom. Akashaa was laying in the tub with her eyes closed. I finished peeing and flushed the toilet
"Sha baby." I said.
She smiled but didn't open her eyes. "Yes?" She asked.
"Are you almost done?" I asked kneeling by the tub and rubbing her stomach.
She nodded her head. "I'll be downstairs when you're ready." I said standing up.
"Okay." She whispered.
Heading downstairs, I rubbed my stomach. I was hungry as hell. Sha's mom was in the kitchen cooking. I smiled watching her dance around the kitchen and mix something in a bowl.
My phone started ringing so I walked into the living room. I looked at. my phone and groaned. I hoped she didn't have an attitude today because I didn't need it.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Where you at?" My mother asked.
"Good morning to you too and I'm at Akashaa's house." I said sitting down on the couch.
"You're always with that girl. Anyway when are you leaving?" She asked.
I decided not to argue with her. She always had something slick to say out her mouth and I was tired of it.
"Next Sunday." I said before clearing my throat.
"Tammy and 'em are coming Friday. I expect you to be at the house." She said before hanging up.
I looked at my phone and scrunched up my face. I bet I won't go.
"Good morning Jah." Sha's mom said from behind me.
"Morning ma. What you in there cooking?" I asked her.
"Food. Today is my husbands birthday. I want everybody to celebrate it with me and Sha if that's not to much to ask." She said smiling softly.
"Nah you good ma. I'll call up everyone and see what their plans are. If they're free I'll have them come through."
She nodded her head and kissed my cheek before walking back into the kitchen.

Everybody sat around this big table Sha had in her dining room. I looked around at everybody before smiling. These people were my family. If they ever needed anything I would provide them with it with no hesitation.
King looked at me and smirked. The same thoughts that were going through my mind, were going through his. I looked at Sha who was engaged in conversation with Lyric. Lyric and Ryah were expecting their baby boy soon and I was excited for them.
I could tell it was a pretty big step for their relationship but they were going to be good. Ryan and Bryan talked amongst themselves. I never understood how they could be so different but then again. They're twins. I loved the bond they had though.
I looked at Trey and he was talking to Akashaa's mom. He was the silent but deadly one. He didn't like meeting new people and I understood why. He was like the big brother to everybody. It fit well.
"So when you leaving?" Trey asked me.
"Next Sunday." I said before drinking out of my cup.
He nodded his head. "I heard that Tammy and 'em coming Friday." He said sitting back and smirking at me.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah man. Ma talking 'bout she expect to see me at the crib then she gon' bang on me." I said while shaking my head.
He chuckled. "You going?" He asked. I shrugged.
"I don't want to go but then again, I don't want to leave Chu by himself." I said. I looked around the dining room before sighing.
"I feel you. You should go and bring Sha." He said. My head snapped towards him and he smirked
"You know damn well my moms don't rock with Sha like that. Then on top of that my ex is going to be there. That's just drama right there." I said.
He laughed and shook his head.
"That's good. When Sha telling me her stories, she could tell me about how she almost beat shorty up." He said
I shook my head at him but laughed. "I'll get back to you on that one." I said.
💫💫💫
"Jah!" Sha yelled.
I stood up from the couch and made my way up the stairs to her bedroom.
"Why you yelling?" I asked kissing her shoulder.
She smiled. "Because if I didn't you wouldn't have came to me."
I shook my head.
"So you going over to your moms house Friday?" She asked me. I eyed her.
"You talked to Chu today?" I asked her.
She nodded her head. "He asked your mom if I could come over too just so he won't be bored because he kind of figured that you wouldn't even wanna come. Don't ask me why but that means you have to come with me." She said.
I groaned. "I should warn you now that my ex probably will be there. That's a part of the reason why I didn't wanna go." I said sitting on the bed.
She shrugged and sat down as well.
"As long as that girl keeps her hands and her eyes to herself and she don't come out her mouth crazy then I won't have a issue with her. Simple." She said.
I kissed her cheek. "There might be a little drama though. that's expected." I said while rubbing her stomach.
"Yeah 'cause your mom likes to stir the pot and she don't know how to mind the business that pays her. She better not say nothing crazy to me either 'cause I do not have the time or patience." She said.
I nodded my head.
"You tired?" I asked her.
She nodded her head and got under the covers. I rubbed on her arm until I heard her steady breathing. Smiling, I kissed her forehead and left out the room.
