THE ORIGINAL PROMPT:

High School AU

Adora has a crush on Jane, but ends up falling flat on her face. As she lays on the ground and slowly dies from embarrassment, Jane has a mind blowing realization that she actually likes Adora and when she helps Adora up off the ground, she pulls her into a kiss.

I glance nervously both ways while storing my books and textbooks into my locker. I've been bullied a lot for being who I am, that is. Many people don't notice me either, which isn't too bad, considering what I've been through.

Nobody really cares about me. Only my older brother cares, but he goes to college, and can't help me all the time. I get it. I need to suck it all up.

Due to this, I've been in sadness, depression, and in the darkness for my entire life. I sit on the edge of my bed every night and cry myself to sleep.

I get bullied just because I don't have the same sexuality as others at my school. Nobody goes to school saying "I'm part of the LGBTQ community," or anything. Maybe they just bully me because I look weird, or don't fit in with the others-

I sigh, and clicked the metal locker door shut. Even though I wish that somebody could help me through this, nobody does. My brother does help, but he can't do it anymore, which I don't blame him, he has school and other things on his mind.

I slung my small backpack on my shoulder and walked to my next class, which was Science. I sat down near my classmate, Alec, who, I believe, is another supporter of LGBTQ. I was a bit jealous of him, he was way more popular, and people accepted him more than me.

"Partner up!" our teacher says, putting us into groups. I didn't have much friends in that class, so I didn't have the nerves to go up to anyone and ask them to be part of my group or of their group. I avoided all eyes looking at me by lowering my head, at least there was too much commotion of people asking others to be in their group.

(this is me irl, I am so bad at making friends or groups like this and nobody really notices me qwq)

"Hey, do you want to be in our group?" I heard a voice say. I looked up to see three girls and two boys looking at me, waiting for a response.

"Yeah, sure!" I said, a bit enthusiastically because I was part of a group (finally). They written my name down on the paper that our teacher handed out to us.

I learned that the three girls' names were Melodie, Kiryomi, and Jane, while the two boys were Alec (who I already knew) and Joshua.

"Soo, what's your name?" Melodie asks with some sort of accent.

"Umm, Adora," I reply shyly. She nods, writes my name down on the paper, then smiles.

"Welcome to the group, Adora!" Joshua says, patting me on the back. I smile at the others.

We started to work on the project and handouts from our teacher. Alec and Joshua sat together and worked on their parts together, along with Melodie and Kiryomi, which left me to do my part with Jane.

"So we have to research about physics of gravity and the law of forces!" Jane states, which I nod to. I wasn't used to talking all that much with other people.

I started researching about the first two laws of gravity (Newton's Laws) while Jane did the last law, along with some other research about physics.

All of us were working hard till the bell rang. I got to know the group a bit better than before, and we became quick friends. They even asked me to sit with them at lunch, which isn't something I did for a while.

Hopefully, my past experiences won't get in the way of this.

-time skip to lunch-

I sat down at the table where the others were, which I found fairly easily, due to them calling my name over.

"Meet the gang," Alec says as I sit down, gesturing to everyone sitting at the table. Most of them were in my classes, but there were some that weren't.

"You know us five, already, but there's Cody, Bailey, Elizabeth, Lukey, John, Vinny, Arielle, Aphrodite, Prasiddhi, Chidi and his sister Adanna, Kai, and Quinn," he continued, nodding to them. They smiled and waved at me.

"Don't worry, we're like you in a way, but of course, we're all still very different," Quinn says, winking. "If you didn't know, we all, except Adanna, are part of the LGBTQ community, just like you!"

I stood there, a bit shocked. They were all LGBTQ? Well, all of them except Adanna, that is. But at least she supports LGBTQ, unlike some people...

"Yeah, welcome to the community!" the others chimed in. We all start eating lunch and chatting with each other, like nothing bothered us.

I got to know everyone in the group, and they were happy to have me. But along that, I also gained a new crush. Well, for me, anyways.

I saw that everyone in the group had somebody who they hung out with, like Alec had Joshua, Melodie had Kiryomi, Cody with Arielle and Aphrodite, and so forth.

I found out that, like myself, three other girls were my sexuality, lesbian. Melodie and Kiryomi were already hanging out, which led me to have a crush on Jane.

I kept thinking about it the entire day after lunch was over, so I decided to come clean the next day at school and tell Jane how I felt.

-timeskip to the next day-

I got ready to confess at Science today while getting my books out of my locker. Unfortunately for me, I accidentally walked right into somebody on the way, and dropped all my books and the stuff in my hands.

I could hear laughter coming from above me as I tried to stand up, but failed to do. Turning red from head to toe, I tried to make myself disappear which, of course, didn't work. I was still there, on the floor, being the laughingstock of the school.

Then, I saw my friends (aka, the LGBTQ community) picking up all my fallen belongings, and stacking them neatly.

Jane stood forward, and held her hand out to me, which I took quickly, then, pulled me up onto my feet. I thanked them for helping me, which they were grateful that I was okay.

Then, everyone smiled at each other in a mischievous kind of way. I didn't know what they were thinking, but at that moment, Jane pulled me into a kiss.

It wasn't like many others I've witnessed or seen before, but of course, I passionately enjoyed it. All the other members of the community just whooped and cheered at the sight of us, which made my heart leap.

"Shoot, we'll be late to our next class," Joshua then interrupted, making us all laugh. We cheerfully walked together to our next class, and I finally fit in.
