THE ORIGINAL PROMPT:

 Jojo and Jo (along with Jordan and Lara) use a time machine to go to the future, and they meet a kid that immediately recognizes them as their parents. Cue the awkwardness (and crush possibilities).

"Thanks for coming, you four! Now, if you could follow me...," Haneen says, leading us down the stairwell of the laboratory into an underground room. She used her ID to unlock the tough, metal doors, which opened with a swipe.

"What are we getting ourselves into?" I whispered to Jojo, one of my childhood friends. He turned and shrugged, and we continued to follow Haneen into the room.

"I have much exciting news!" Haneen exclaims as we enter. She walked to a large, tarp-covered object standing in the middle of the room. "I've been working on this for a long while, and I believe the prototype's finished."

"It looks huge," Lara commented, looking upwards at the object.

"Well, I couldn't really fit most of the mechanics in it if it were small, so I made it larger," Haneen admitted, folding her hands.

"So, what does it do?" I ask.

"I'm glad you asked!" she responds, looking back up again. "It's a prototype time machine!"

We all gasp. "A time machine?" piped up Jordan. Haneen nodded excitedly.

"Yes, it's a time machine! I've been working on this for the past few months, and I believe it's finally finished!"

"That's so cool! Are we going to test it or what?"

"Yeah, that's what I called you all here for!"

She uncovered the object, and it looked very mechanical, with gears here and there, a pipe that connected two ends together, and of course, a doorway frame in between it all.

"So, are you guys willing to try it?"

We all nod, and she started up the machine. It huffed and started to whir the gears around quickly, then, a swirling material appeared in the middle of the doorway, also known as a portal.

"There! I think it's ready! Where do you guys want to go in history?"

"The Wild West!" "Dinosaurs!" "The Future!" "Home!"

We all glare at each other while Haneen struggled to hear what we all said. Then, we all started speaking (except Haneen, of course):

"Who said that they wanted to go 'home?'"

"The dinosaurs are cool."
