Adora stumbled out of bed with a small cough. Her head felt hot but her hands felt chilled. She had a fever, although this one didn't feel like most of the other ones. Usually, she would feel cold from head to toe first, then feel hot all over, as Azulians usually had more colder temperatures than here on Earth. Why was this one different though?

Kai walked in, calling Adora's name, but froze when they saw the blue female kneeling on the floor, trying to catch her breath. Quickly, they rushed to the bathroom and got a damp cloth, a fresh one, and placed it on Adora's forehead, feeling her breath lingering on their neck.

Laying the blue alien on their lap, Kai slowly started to dampen the rest of her face, making the girl sputter as the cloth brushed against her mouth. Carefully uprighting the girl, Kai went back to the bathroom to get a thermometer and another cloth. Bringing the specified items back to Adora, they checked her temperature. 103.2 degrees.

God, that was the highest she's ever been!, Kai slightly panicked in their mind. But, keeping cool of the situation, they continued to damp the small, blue alien with the cloth, her breathing became a bit more stable. Every once in a while, she coughed or sneezed (it sounded "adora-ble" in Kai's perspective), but that was going away aswell, which was a good thing.

Kai picked up the female and placed her back in bed, wrapping the bedsheets around her small frame. They were about to leave and let the alien girl get some rest, but Adora managed to stutter, "C-can you stay with me, p-please? I-I don't w-want to be alone..."

Kai turned around upon hearing Adora's voice. They pull up a foldable table and a chair, placing them in front of Adora's bedside. "Wait here, I won't be gone for long."

Kai went downstairs and finished the soup that they were making earlier (coincidental that they made it before they knew Adora was sick, huh?), and brought it to the pale girl wrapped in blankets. She happily took it, thanking the dark-haired as she blew it cool.

Kai watched the adorable blue alien drink the soup, muttering to themselves to stop staring. Adora didn't seem to notice at least, just cheerfully sipping the noodles and the soup. Kai placed their hand on her forehead again, it felt cooler to the touch.

"Thanks for staying with me, I enjoyed your company...," Adora said shyly. Kai smiles in response and places their hands around the blue alien.

"Anytime."
