Not me coming back over notifications in my emails :,)

It's been a year... gosh, that's pretty long ago that I haven't written.. honestly I am so sorry for disappearing like that! I might be back occasionally if I have the time to write, but no promises!

I'll be reopening requests (and cancelling all past requests since I wasn't able to get to them, I apologize greatly) for those who'd like to request something, but I am uncertain if I am able to complete them all sadly! So do keep that in mind if you wanna drop a request on the first page ^_^

Thanks for sticking by this book for so long (if you're an og, major props to you)! Somehow, it's first in #robloxflicker tag, so I'm not sure how that happened but that's pretty awesome!

Thanks so much for all the support you guys given me for this book! I really appreciate it! :D

[THIRD PERSON]

The dressed lizard takes a deep breath, enjoying the sun across her scales. Another beautiful, sunny day down near the gulf coast, just waiting to be enjoyed. The water churned far away, the ocean roaring as it crossed the lines across the beach sand.

Rita always loved the sea. Though her kind had come and gone millions of years ago, she stuck around in the desolate parts of the beach where no-one dares to look, going unnoticed by wary eyes. She knew people had seen her sometimes, always scampering to tell their loved ones that there was a weird creature living there. It was intriguing to the dinosaur's knowledge that this happened rather often.

The water rippled as the sea brought waves ashore.

You would never know what the tide might bring. Rita learned that one faithful day.

A creature stood before her, sea water dampened their entire body. Aqua fins were present on their body, as if they were a fish from the sea, though they stood up like a human would.

Rita was quite confused with the encounter, finally standing up from her relaxing spot on the rocks and peering at the strange being. Her sunglasses were propped against her forehead, letting her see the creature in full color.

A fin was raised sheepishly, as if the fish were trying to stay cool in the situation, motioning some sort of wave towards the female dinosaur. He could not speak, yet let out low gurgles instead as if he were still underwater.

Rita eyed the fish man and snapped her jaws as a warning. He didn't seem like a major threat, but she stood her ground, ready if she had to resort to violence. She didn't know his intentions, but did she really need to know?

The fish, seeing the warning signals, immediately looked around for some distraction to avert the other's attention. He had a feeling that his apology wasn't accepted by this strange lizard creature, even though he used the best known strategy of forgiveness back with his own kind.

Accidentally catching a tidal wave wasn't the best thing that could've happened to him, being dragged with the current and washing ashore in front of a scaly creature like this one. Not only did she look angry, she looked like she could snack on him for days!

A colorful strand of weed floating at the water's edge nearby caught his eye. Perhaps a peace offering could be made in exchange for his life! He quickly swam to grab the seaweed piece, with the dinosaur closely watching his every move with a low snarl.

He brought it to the dinosaur, laying it over her shoulders like a lei and taking many steps backwards. Though not as pretty as a real lei was, he still hoped the motion looked somewhat identical. He hoped.

Rita glanced at the makeshift necklace around her neck, questioning what he was trying to do with the wet piece of weed. The fish timidly smiled as he desperately hoped that the dinosaur understood his true intentions.

As she stroked the seaweed with a claw, her eyes closed in silence. Her memory was quite dull, not remembering every single detail of her past, but she knew of the old world where various species of dinosaurs roamed the Earth long before humans came around. One particular memory came back to her head, of her and her mother resting together in a grassy plain near the large lake full of clear, pristine water. Both gazing up and admiring the beautiful floral plants that had grown near their home. Watching the plants and seeing all the creatures around interacting with the environment interested Rita as a small dinosaur.

Low growls came from her mother, understood as "You see that, Riri? Everything lives together with harmony. Balance keeps our world together, without it comes many things. We must learn to respect and cherish everything around us, and live amongst one another in coexistence."

High-pitched chirps were the response from an energetic, young Rita as she pranced about the grass and leaves of the pond happily. She didn't fully understand what her mother meant then. The fond memory ended as her eyes opened to see the humanoid fish staring at her, waiting for a response. He trembled under her gaze.

That lesson her mother taught her was vital then, and still stuck with her. Harmony. Coexistence. Friendship. They were needed in the world.

She grasped the seaweed around her neck again. Perhaps this was a sign of harmony, a sign that the fish wanted to coexist together in peace, not a threat. The words echoed in her head again as she took a breath.

She let out a few chirps of forgiveness, hoping the fish knew what she meant. The fish, though not knowing her words, understood that she recognized his intentions. He gurgled happily, knowing that he was spared from a terrible fate that day.

He was about to leave as quickly as he could, but the dinosaur reached a claw out to his direction. She motioned for him to respond as an offering. With a bit of uncertainty, he took it with his own, as the two shook out an agreement of peace. Neither truly knew the impact, but they both understood it as a sign of friendship and forgivness.

The dinosaur's eyes glimmered with a joyful feeling as the fish took his leave and swam off into depths of the sea. Were they truly peaceful to one another? Could they live in peaceful coexistence and be actual friends despite being different species?

She hoped so. In the namesake of her mother's lesson, maybe creatures, as different as they were, could be friends with one another, living peacefully in a harmonious world. Maybe someday, everything could be different, with all the various species present on Earth forming bonds with one another in friendship.

Maybe someday. Rita went back to her special rock and laid down for another nap in the sun's rays, sighing a final breath of relief.

I haven't actually written anything about these two, so here's the first thing I did- not sure if I should be proud, but it's something! Thanks for reading! :D
