"Teacher! Teacher! Señorita!" 

I suddenly stopped walking when a male student stopped in front of me, holding the project that he was supposed to pass during class hours. Napamasahe ako sa sentido ko bago ko nilahad ang kamay ko. I really should stop letting them get into me, but I felt bad because he probably worked hard on this plate. 

"Thank you so much!" He smiled and even threw a fist in the air. "Muchas gracias!" 

"Ah, si..." I nodded and just waved my hand to dismiss him. 

It was another tiring but fun day of being an assistant of my aunt. She was teaching Architecture to one of the best colleges in Spain. Hindi madaling magkaroon ng kaibigan dito lalo na't hindi naman ako ganoon kagaling makipagkaibigan kahit noon pa man. I always preferred being alone, but I knew I won't survive out here without having people around me. 

For some reason, I found other Filipino friends here. Ang iba ay mga studyante at ang iba naman ay professor or architect sa parehong university na pinagtatrabahuhan ko. Marami sila rito lalo na't may mga grupo grupo pa sila. Marunong naman akong makisama pero dahil sa trabaho ko, alam ko namang hindi ako mananatili sa iisang lugar lang. 

Para rin kumita ng pera, iba't ibang part time jobs pa ang pinasok ko habang hinihintay ang pangako ng Tita kong pag-aaralin niya 'ko ng Master's kapag nagtrabaho ako sa kaniya nang isang taon. Okay na rin siguro dahil hindi pa talaga ako nakakapag-adjust dito. Sa susunod na school year ay pwede na 'kong mag-aral ulit. 

Bukod doon, I had also been attending different conferences in different countries to further explore and expand my knowledge about architecture as my aunt would always send me instead because of her busy schedule. Inaral ko naman na nang ilang taon, bakit hindi ko pa sagarin, hindi ba? Siguro iyon na rin ang paraan ko para hindi ko maisip na sinayang ko lang lahat ng natutunan ko habang nag-aaral ako. Sinayang... dahil hindi ko naman talaga ginusto 'yon.
