Father

I'm staying over at Hyunjin's house

Please don't come for me. I want space

Pressing send, Minho sighed, letting his head rest up against the back of the wall. He was currently standing just outside one of the practice rooms, Hyunjin and Seungmin still inside practicing.

He... his father would not be okay with this. There had been too many times in which Minho had said no to him recently, he was certainly getting a scolding. Now... to decide whether to accept that or to avoid it was the question.

"Come on," Minho glanced up as Hyunjin pushed the studio door open, his eyes immediately landing on Minho who had clearly an anxious expression. "Let's go home."

Minho softly nodded, saying a small good bye to Seungmin before he followed Hyunjin down the hall to the elevator.

Hyunjin put his arm around Minho's shoulder, glancing down at Minho's phone, which he was still holding in his hand. "Did you tell your dad?"

"Yeah," Minho sighed and slumped his shoulders. "He's going to kill me."

"Just stay at my place," Hyunjin murmured sympathetically. "It'll get better, just wait for the election to pass and it'll get better."

"I hope you're right," the elevator door opened and Minho and Hyunjin walked inside. "Everyone's left already?"

"Yeah, it's sort of late, if you didn't notice," Hyunjin laughed. "Is your bike in the parking lot?"

"I have to get to school somehow, right?"

"I could drive you if you want."

"You also have to get to school," Minho pointed out, the door opening once more. "I'm fine, I have my uniform and most of my school books..." he frowned. "I think I'll have to break into my house though."

"What?" Hyunjin glanced over with wide eyes as the two friends walked out of the elevator and into the lobby. "For what?"

"Clothes. More books. Stuff."

"Oh my god..." Hyunjin closed his eyes for a moment, before opening them with brimming excitement. "Take me with you!"

"What?" Minho gave him a weird look. "You want to help me... break into my own house?"

"I'll get back up!"

"Um, I don't think that's a good idea-"

"Come on, just go with it!" Hyunjin nodded towards Minho's bike as they walked out of the lobby. "I'll meet you at home?"

"Yeah," Minho was still confused.

Starting his bike's engine, Minho took off roaring down the road, the sides of his jacket flapping behind him as if he was some protagonist in a Korean drama. Hyunjin's sleek BMW followed behind him as they made their way out of the dense city and into the richer part of town.

His own house wasn't far from here, Minho noted as he pulled onto Hyunjin's driveway, glancing further down the road that he would have normally driven if he was heading to his own house. Standing in front of the steps to her house stood Mrs. Hwang, who smiled when Minho pulled his helmet off. "Minho-ah!"

"Auntie!" Minho grinned, waving as he propped his bike up against its stand and left his helmet hanging from the handles as he went to greet Hyunjin's mother. "How are you?"

(For those of you who don't really understand Korean, Minho calls Hyunjin's mother "이모" or Eemo, meaning Aunt on mother's side. This could be used to refer to biological aunts from your mother's side, or close female friends of your mother.)
