(Last chapter before big-er time jump)
4 Months Later
"Come on guys," Changbin groaned, looking back behind him as he watched the group walk after him. "You guys are so slow."
"You're just walking too fast," Hyunjin complained. "I mean, your legs are so short, why are you walking faster than everybody else?"
Changbin looked ready to throw a shoe at him before Bang Chan stepped in. "Guys, guys, calm down, we're just taking a break, we need to get ourselves together."
"This is the most stressful thing that I've ever done," Seungmin commented, looking down at his phone. "I mean, no pressure, but if we don't do well then people are going to get kicked off the team again."
Minho and Felix glanced at each other. That hadn't been fun.
"I'm serious guys, this is the last time that we'll be performing as trainees if everything goes well," Seungmin huffed. "And it might be our last time being on stage together before we split up or-"
"We're not splitting up," Bang Chan cut in. "Don't worry," he put his hand on Seungmin's shoulder. "We're all going to get past this stage and we're all going to debut, no matter what."
"Are you guys hurrying or not?" Changbin reminded the group impatiently. "The faster that we get coffee that faster we can go back and practice. Hellavator still needs a lot more work, and I don't know how we're planning on fixing that dance part in-"
"Calm down," Felix fell into step with him and patted his arm. "Everything is going to be fine."
Minho shared a glance with Jisung as he too fell into step with Jisung. "This is interesting," he murmured under his breath as he watched Felix and Changbin walk together towards the coffee shop. History has a strange way of repeating itself, didn't it?
"Tell me about it," Jisung laughed, but he didn't say any more for fear that one of the other boys might hear something and pick up on what they were talking about. As far as they knew, they were the only two that remember anything from their first lives. And unless that wasn't the case, Jisung and Minho had agreed to not tell anyone anything if they didn't have to.
"Here we are," Bang Chan pulled the door open and held it open as the other boys walked into the store. There weren't a lot of people inside, so the boys were able to get a table to sit and talk at for their short break.
"Come here and order, we'll use the company card," Bang Chan pulled out the card from his pocket.
"And iced americano, please," Hyunjin ordered, looking up at the menu as he talked, even though everyone knew he didn't need it.
After everyone had ordered, the boys sat down at they table and chatted for a while, probably to try and calm the nerves that were plaguing them after Seungmin's little worry fest earlier. Minho in particular, was very desperate for this to go right.
He had almost lost it when he had been kicked out of the group a few weeks before. He had been so set on debuting and being with Jisung in Stray Kids that he hadn't known what to do with himself after he had left.
Thank goodness he had been brought back though, because now he had a second shot at debuting with Jisung, and he was determined not to waste it.
As if sensing what Minho was thinking about, Jisung reached under the table and took his hand. "Hey," he whispered. "Don't worry, everything is going to be fine."
Minho didn't say anything, but he squeezed Jisung's hand back.
The boys enjoyed the time that they were away from the studio. Minho just enjoyed the time that the cameras were away from them. There had been a lot of filming recently, and there were almost constant cameras in their dorm filming.
