Minho stared down at his phone for a moment before he looked up at Jisung, who was also awkwardly sipping his coffee from across the table.
"So... uh," Minho broke the silence that had fallen over their table. "Is there a reason that you wanted for us to hang out?"
"I just wanted to get to know you better," Jisung said quietly. "After all, we're under the same company. It would be weird if we didn't know each other. Plus, we might even end up debuting together."
"True," Minho set his cup down on the table. After all, all his effort towards dance was so that he could debut, right?"
"So..." Jisung trailed off, his eyes flitting over to the bandage that was sticking out of Minho's shirt near his shoulders. "What did happen to you?"
"Well, I-"
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to!" Jisung rushed to reassure him.
"It's fine, I just don't think-"
"I know you don't really know me!" Jisung cut him off again. "We're basically strangers, so you don't have to feel pressured-"
"I'll tell you the truth."
"I... what?"
"This might sound kind of crazy, so if you don't believe me that's fine," Minho pulled up his sleeve and revealed the bandages up his arm. "I get these during my dreams."
Jisung stared at him for a moment like he was crazy. "What? In your dreams? Do you do them to yourself in your sleep?"
"No, there's no way that I could possible do this to myself. I dream, and often times in my dreams I get hurt. When I wake up, they're still on my body."
Jisung's eyes narrowed as he took in Minho's face. "... What type of dreams are we talking about here?"
"That's the thing," Minho laughed, shaking his head. "I'm not sure. I think they're of ancient times, I've seen the Han Palace that we went to with the others multiple times."
"The Han Palace?"
"Yeah."
"Well that's sort of random, isn't it?" Jisung murmured, rubbing the back of his neck. "Do you have any idea why you might be having dreams about the palace itself. Did you go there when you were a kid or something?"
"No, I had never been before we went together. Actually, I went to the palace because I was having the dreams, so there's no way that visiting the palace would have caused my dreams.
"I see..."
Minho watched Jisung's expression for a moment. He seemed... alarmed? That was probably accurate. And with good reason too. Heck, if Minho had been the one listening to this explanation for strange wounds on someone's body, he would have called it bullshit and told them to go see a doctor.
When he thought about it, it was more strange that Jisung didn't freak out much. Did he really not think that this was weird? Maybe Jisung was just better at hiding his emotions than Minho had originally thought.
"I'll help you."
"Oh... wait what?" Minho blinked in shock and stared at Jisung. "You'll help me... figure out why I'm having dreams? Really?"
"Sure," Jisung shrugged. "If we are going to be friends from now on, I don't want to have to worry about you constantly being hurt, right?"
"F-friends?"
Jisung took a sip of his coffee. "I'll start doing research myself as well. Don't expect too much from me, but if you ever need a ride somewhere or something, I'd be willing to do that for you."
