“Did you guys expect that this movie will be trending online and thought that the movie will be ranked as number 1 in the most viewed movie on PhTV?”
I smiled at Miss Kory, the host of the talk show, before answering. “Actually, we’re not expecting any huge trade upon releasing the movie. Hindi namin inaasahan na marami kaming audience na maeengganyo na panoorin ang movie namin, kasi kung mapapansin n’yo naman, ang genre ng ‘The Olympians’ is specifically a horror and mystery/thriller.”
“I have noticed these past few days that most of the viewers are most likely into romance type of movies or kaya naman ay mga BL movies. I’m not saying that we’re not expecting the viewers to watch our movie. It’s just that, it’s beyond our expectation that within just a week, we made a gigantic achievement.”
“In addition to what Corrine has said, we’re truly grateful for all the viewers who kept flooding positive feedback about the movie. All our achievements we are now enjoying wouldn’t be possible without all of you so, maraming salamat sa mga nanood ng movie namin,” Echo said, siya ‘yong main character sa ‘The Olympians’.
To also give you a brief information, the reason why Echo called me ‘Corrine’ a while ago is because my agency wanted me to have my own stage name. Naisip ko ang pangalan na ‘Corrine’ kasi ang lapit at halos katunog din naman ng pangalan ko na ‘Irene’.
I think, okay na rin na mabuhay ako at makilala ng mga tao sa ibang pangalan. Kung baga, ito na ang simula ng bagong kwento na bubuuin ko.
“Could you tell us a brief overview about the movie?”
“Olympians are those athletes who compete in an olympic games. But in this movie, the participants were not athletes.
And most especially, the participants won’t compete in the olympic games… and are not competing with each other for a gold medal.”
“Participants are selected by the game master, and the selected people are those beggars in the street,” Marco said. He played the role of the antagonist.
“Mga pulubi sa kalye ang participants?”
“Yes,” Echo replied. “And these beggars are going to play an online game, which is Mobile Legends, in order to survive and win the huge amount of money that awaits them in the end.
Marami ang mga pulubi na kasali so, sa stage 1-4 ay by group ang laban. Team vs. Team ang naging sistema, at ang talunan na team ay hindi uuwing luhaan… dahil ang matatalo, hindi na talaga makakauwi dahil papatayin sila. Hanggang sa umabot sa puntong anim na player na lang ang tutuntong sa stage 5, individual na ‘yon.”
“The remaining players will play a 1v1 game in Custom, tapos ang matatalo sa 1v1 na ‘yon ay papatayin, samantalang ang mananalo ay mag-a-advance sa huling stage ng laro. Tatlong players ang natira sa laro, at kaming tatlo ‘yon, but we all not expecting the next game,” ako naman ang nagsalita.
“Binigyan nila kaming tatlo ng tig-iisang baril na may tig-iisang bala. We can use the bullets para patayin ang isa’t isa, at kung sino sa amin ang matirang buhay, siya ang mananalo at makapag-uuwi ng malaking halaga na premyo.
I’m playing Tupe’s role, gahaman sa pera at gutom manalo, kung kaya naman ay si Corrine, which is si Kaye sa movie, ang pinatamaan ko ng bala.”
“I’m playing the protagonist role, Joseph, at kaibigan ko si Tupe. Pero dahil sa ginawa niya kay Kaye, I didn’t hesitate but to shoot him. Oo, ako ang last man standing but, I’m not happy with the result.”
“Actually, pinagpaplanuhan ni Direk kung magkakaroon ba ng Season 2 ang ‘The Olympians’, pero kung magkakaroon man, I think magiging magandang balita ‘yon para sa mga viewers na alam naming nabitin sa ending,” I muttered.
