⇨Iwaizumi X Kageyama⇦
ⓗⓐⓘⓚⓨⓤⓤ

"Iwaizumi-san! " a first year in middle school called out. The said man turned around and saw him running towards him, out of breath. He stopped at his spot and waited for the first year.

When he finally made it, he tried catching his breath before he spoke. Iwaizumi couldn't help but smile at the sight. "A-ano. Can tell Oikawa-san, that the coach said to come to school early tomorrow to talk.. " the raven asked shyly and playing with his fingers, unable to look eye to eye at his senpai.

Iwaizi hearing this sighed and patted the raven's hair. "I'll make sure he wakes up early. Don't worry. Make sure to get home safely" he said and turned away. To go down his previous path to home.

Kageyama looked at his senpais back and touched the spot where his senpai patred him. His beautiful blue eyes glimmered as if a sea was hit with the rays of the sun. It was indeed a beautiful sight. His eyes were very captivating.

Though, those captivating sparkling eyes won't stay the same as they were forever.

'King of the court' the title that ruined those innocent eyes and made them dull, when Iwaizumi saw this for the first time, he was shocked. Unaware of the fact that this can happened. Those magical sparkle that it holds was now faded and can only be seen from time to time but not towards people like before, but towards volleyball.

Iwaizumi Hajime, Ace of Aoba Johsai. Childhood friend of Oikawa Tooru. He was beyond worried at the setter's well being. Every other game he saw that the boy was a part off, those eyes seem to become more dull any moment.

One time he had enough of it and invited the Raven out for lunch, he then confronted him right there and then.

"Kageyama.. " he said in a low voice, the setter who was eaiting some meatbuns happily turned and looked his way. They were both sitting at a park bench.

"Is there something wrong? " Iwaizumi quetioned, straight to the point and looked his way. Kageyama slightly flinched at the sudden question but then titlted his head in a confuse manner.

"Not that I know off at the moment? " he said rather quetionly, unsure if that was the correct answer. He thought that the question meant that if there was something wrong with the meeting they have right now. Unknown of the fact that Iwazumi asked that as a general question.

Though, before Iwazumi could correct the Raven. He saw a glimmer in his eyes, it's as if he was enjoying the time their spending together and he couldn't take it away with those type of questions so he kept it to himself for now.

After a while of hanging out together, it was already late and it was time to go home. Iwaizumi decided to escort Kageyama home. They talked for a whole and reached the house, he noticed that there were no lights on but he didn't want to invade so he said his farewell and goodnight.

Finally making it home, he plopped down to his bed and let his thoughts engulf him. He thought about the setter, about why he looks so tired all the time and has been in dazed all the time like he is thinking of something. He couldn't help but worry, but seeing his captivating blue eyes today made all his worries go and finally slept peacefully.

Years passed and Iwaizumi forgotten all of his worries for the raven, seeing him play to his hearts content was the most wonderful sight that he had seen all his life. He wanted to play against him again. How those eyes focus on you, trying to read your movements. Do a faint, focus on a spot just overall focusing on you. Everytime the setter did that before, it was as if the whole world was watching him.

You would feel uncomfortable with that thought right? But for him he felt at peace, he felt proud. He wasn't aware when he started feeling this but he definitely love those eyes looking at him like there was no other people around him. Just him.

Sophomore year. He decided to travel to California for a meeting with Utsui. He was hoping that he could intern for him after graduating college. Being overseas, he knew that he wouldn't be able to see those eyes for a while but he always kept them in mind.

In that trip of his, he encountered Ushijima to which he found out was actually the son of the person he wanted to intern for. Finally agreeing that he could intern there once he graduated. He couldn't help but be excited to tell Kageyama the news. Thought it was not much, they still kept in contact with each other.

He texted Kageyama that he'd be landing to the airport real soon. Once he told him that he'd be coming home the raven wanted to pick him up there. Hearing his excited voice through the call, he couldn't help but chuckle at the Raven's childish behaviour. Still, it cheered him on to accomplish his dream of being an athletic trainer.

He even thought of him helping Kageyama from time to time. He wondered what the future had in store for him.

Arriving at the airport, he searched for any sign of a certain raven haired setter. Not finding him through the crowd he thought that he might've been late. He looked throught the text and noticed that it was not read.

Confused he tried texting him again asking if he's already there. Thinking that he's probably still at practice and is not using his phone. He waited there patiently at the airport.

Not wanting to leave Kageyama if he evere decides to come pick him up. He refused the offer of his childhood friend Oikawa.

Waiting there to what felt like hours, was indeed hours. He landed at lunch time but it was already late evening. He tried calling the raven knowing that it was already way pass the end of their practice time but no one answered. It kept sending him to voice mail.

It was already very late so he decided that he should probably not wait anymore. He thought that maybe Kageyama forgot about picking him up or maybe something just came up that he couldn't make it.

He rode I'm a taxi looking at the night sky. He couldn't help but remeber his eyes from them. How they had a certain sparkle like the stars shining the night sky. He then felt the taxi stop. He was stuck at a traffic jam. Looking outside he tried to make out what was causing this thing. There were no traffic lights in there so he was confused.

Looking at the driver he then asked which the driver answered "I think an accident happened. The said a bus and a taxi collided. Yikes, they said the people who were in the taxi were close on death's door step." Hearing this he felt a pang in his heart but he didn't understand why. He thought it was merely pitty.

Though he was wrong, very wrong.

There he saw a pure white coffin, many crying people surrounding it and some on the sides quietly keeping to themselves. You can hear a short raven haired woman crying loudly as the other comforted her.

Finally making it to the front of the coffin, he saw the man he waited for at the airport. The man he longed to see. The man he was so worried that he couldn't sleep every night. The man which eyes felt like the world to him.

The eyes that he would not be able to see anymore. His beautiful blue eyes there closed, finally resting and never to be opened again.
