It has been 3 months since Ayhan and Sanem left Istanbul. Both girls found jobs in one of the small boutiques and Sanem is writing everyday in her journal, writing her novel. The words flow easily now that she is writing the story of her and Can.

Today it is a little warmer than it has been, Spring will be there soon and she is taking advantage of the warmth to sit on her balcony and write. Ayhan has gone to the store. She pauses in her writing to think about the phone call made to her Anne and Baba. Leyla had gotten on the phone to tell her that Can had been to their house every night. Sometimes sleeping in her room. After she talked to Osman, she had text everyone to let them know she was doing ok. She even text Can to let him know she was ok but not ready to talk to me.

She watched Ayhan walking down the street, her friend had been extremely quiet the past few days. She knew she was missing Osman and home so tonight she was going to talk to her about her returning home. Sanem was stronger now and she was living in a safe neighborhood. She had people who would look after her, they already looked after both girls as if they were their own. Emir and his wife, watched over them, loving the girls as if they were their daughters.

Ayhan looked up at the balcony and waved and Sanem waved back, when she was closer she told her friend to come join her on the balcony. While waiting for Ayhan to join her, she took her phone out and called Osman.

"Are you alone? Can we talk?"

"Evet, perfect timing, Can just left." he answered.

"I think Ayhan should come home. She is sad here and misses you. I am going to talk to her about it tonight, we can meet you somewhere so you can get your car. I really don't need it here, it is such a small town that I can walk anywhere I need to go and I bought a bicycle recently."

"Will you be ok?"

"Evet, we have several people here we have come to know and they look after us now so I will be ok."

"Then talk to Ayhan and I will meet you all this weekend. How will you get back?"

"I can ask one of the ladies we have met if her and her husband will follow up and bring me back or maybe Emir will us follow up."  She hears Ayhan behind her "I will call you back soon." she says and hangs up the phone.

"Were you talking to Leyla?"

"No, Osman." Ayhan looks at her in shock.

"Why were you talking to Osman?"

"Look, I know you are not happy, I mean I know you are not sad but you miss Osman and the mahalla. It is time for you to go home."

"Ah, Sanem, I can't leave you here and I am not sure if I go back I won't tell everyone where you are."

"If Can ask, tell him when Osman picked you up. And I have been thinking of moving on to another town, now that I am ready to find someone to publish my book."

"I don't want to leave you alone." Ayhan cried.

"You can always come back, go home and then come visit me." she laughed "Learn to drive though, I don't  think Osman will want to keep making that drive."

Ayhan looked at her friend with tears in her eyes "Are you sure?"

"Evet, I am sure, just please keep my secret."  Ayhan nodded yes. Sanem picked up the phone and dialed Osman.

"Ok, she is ready, we can meet half way. Ok?"

"Evet, where is best for you? I will have Muzzo drive me to meet you."

"I was looking on the map and Izmir is about half way between Istanbul and where we are."

"Ok, I will leave at eight o'clock Friday morning and then I will text you when I am close and if you are there you can tell me where to meet you, if I get there first I will text you a place."

"Sounds like a good plan. Talk to you Friday." she said and handed the phone to Ayhan. She left so that the two could talk and went to speak with Emir.
