Can awoke with Sanem wrapped around him like a koala bear, she had been restless throughout the night, crying out in fear and then moving closer to him. He was sure how she did it but there wasn't a inch of her skin not touching his. He needed her to know that there was nothing he wouldn't do to keep her safe.

His phone text with a message, he reached over and grabbed his phone, Emre had text, baba had told him everything, if he needed anything just call. He replied thanks he would talk to him later.

Sanem stirred in his arms and finally began to wake up, she looked up at him shyly as she realized she had her whole body wrapped around him.

"Gunaydin" she said softly

He smiled down at her "Gunaydin. Are you hungry?"

"Straved." she answered. They both got out of bed, while Sanem showered Can went in and made breakfast, when she walked out, he knew his soul would never bear to lose her. They didn't speak of Fabri's threat. They ate in silence until his phone rang.

"It's Metin." He said as he looked at the screen of his phone. "Metin, how is everything?"

"Can, I just wanted you to know that the Turkish government will not wave extradition, they want Fabri to serve his sentence here before they relinquish him to the Italian government."

"Is that good news?"

"Evet. For us, we will be able to watch his activities while he is in the Turkish prison. We can monitor his visitors, phone calls, and even control that if necessary. His bank accounts and assets have been frozen so he cannot touch them. But, at least this way, we will have all knowledge of what he is doing."

"That's great."

"Aylin's accounts have been frozen also so she would be of no help to him either. But, listen, Huma has access to her accounts, I can try to get them frozen until she is out of prison but I am not sure she would attempt to help the other two again. She had horrified that Fabri would try to kidnap and rape Sanem, kept saying she wouldn't want that to happen."

"Whatever you think is best, is ok with me."

"One more thing, she wants to talk to you."

"Why? I haven't nothing to say to her."

"I know, I told her I would ask. The judge is putting this off, he has set sentencing for all three the day after tomorrow, Thursday at eleven in the morning. It is up to you if you want to be there. Aziz said he will be, Emre said only if you wanted him there."

"Let me think about that and let you know tomorrow."

"If you need anything or Sanem needs anything let me know."

"Ok, Abi. Thanks again." They hung up and Can told Sanem what was said.  They once again sat in silence, each thinking what a mess their lives had been because of three evil people. She felt bad for Can, his mother had left him as a child and then tried to destroy his relationship with her. He had to be so torn up inside.

They spent the rest of the day doing nothing of any importance, they walked to the coast, read, ate, even napped. In the evening they drove to the mahalla so Sanem could see her family. They enjoyed the evening laughing with her family, Aziz, Mirhiban and Emre had joined them and the night was perfect, except for all the thoughts running through their heads not being spoken.

When they left the Aydins, Aziz pulled Can and Emre aside "I am going to be in court on Thursday, I don't expect either one of you to want to be there."

"I will be there" said Can "I want to show Fabri, I am not a man who will back down, I want him to know that Sanem will always be safe." Emre agreed and also said he would be there. Aziz slapped both sons on the back and walked over to Mirhiban. The two brothers watched as the couple drove away.

Two days later -- Thursday, 10 A.M.

The Divit men were a forced to be reckoned with, they walked into the court room as if they owned it. The room was full of reporters wanting to get a statement from any one of them and to watch what happened during the sentencing trail. They just continued to walk on and were seated in the front with Metin. He told them the district attorney was going to ask the judge for maximum sentances for all three but they knew that Huma's sentence would be minimal since she had cooperated and given evidence against Aylin and Fabri. She still claimed she knew nothing about the plans to kidnap Sanem. She told Metin she might not be the best person, but rape was not something she would wish on any woman.

They were all seated when Huma was brought in. The D.A. spoke to the Judge, told him that Huma had given evidence that help with the prosecution of the Fabri and Aylin. His recommendation was that Huma be given the minimal sentence of five years with parole possible in 3 years.

The judge read all the charges looked over at Huma and then looked at the papers again.

"I have taken in account the recommendations of the prosecuting attorney. When I read the charges against you, and see that most of these charges are from actions that involved your family, specifically your son Can and his girlfriend Sanem Aydin, it angers me. I understand you provided evidence against two people are the worse kind of people, but that doesn't excuse you for what you did. It angers me." He paused "Please stand, I am sentencing you to eight years in a low security facility, you are to serve with parole and good behavior no more than four years."

The court room exploded, the noise deafening, the judge asked for quiet as Huma as escorted out of the room. Can sat in stunned silence, he knew, or at least hoped, Huma would be a different person when she came out of jail.

The room quieted as Aylin was led into the room. The prosecuting attorney again read the charges and asked that she be placed in a maximum security facility with all assets and money frozen until her release. He then asked the Judge for the maximum sentence.

Since she had pleaded quilty, there would not be a statement from her attorney, the Judge, once again, read over  the charges. He looked up again at the Divit men and then at Aylin. He shook his head.

"Please, stand.  I must say agree with Mr. Polat. I cannot fathom how a woman as lovely as you can become such an evil person. I am sentencing you to 10 years for each charge to be served consecutively. You will serve no less than 30 years before the possibility of parole will be available."

Aylin was then led out of the room and Fabri brought in. He looked over at Can and smirked as if he thought these proceedings were a joke. Can stared him down, not giving him the satisfaction of thinking he was afraid of  the man.

Once again, Mr. Polat, read the charges. The Judge didn't take a second to think before he spoke.

"The evil I have witnessed in this court room today, has stunned me but I must say, you, sir, must have the Seytan, devil, in your soul. For a man to plan to kidnap and rape a young innocent girl is beyond my ream of rationale." He paused "I do not need to think about what needs to be done here. I sentenced you to life in prison without the possibility of parole. All assets will be frozen until the day of your death and thed distributed to any family members, if no family members are found, it will distributed to help those in need." He then looked over to where the Divits were sitting "Gentlemen, I hope that you never have to deal with such evil again in your lifetime."

The judge then stood and walked out of the court room. Can watched as Fabri was led out of the room, then he finally took a deep breath. Sanem would be safe, Fabri would not have the means to hurt her again.
