Ladies wanted to let you know I am giving you a few chapters and that is why it took so long to publish more. I am in the process of moving into a new house next weekend and my internet will be off as of this weekend so I hope you enjoy these few chapters that are coming and I will update as soon as possible.
Sanem sat looking at Can as if she were about to lose her mind.
"Are you kidding me? Of all the hotels, I pick the one that Huma stays at!"
"well, we don't know that she is still in Istanbul but if you don't want anyone especially her to know you are back in town then you need to be aware that she could possibly be staying in this hotel."
"I need to change hotels but then again if she is still in town, I might run into her anyway and you are right at least now I know to watch out for myself.""Do you want me to walk you in?"
"No, thank you but she would probably notice you before she will notice me. I have a scarf in my bag, I will just cover my head and if she is in there maybe she won't notice me."
"Here, take my ballcap, it is a little too warm for a scarf." She nodded her head and thanked him. Pulled her hair up under the cap and opened her door. Can wasn't sure that she wasn't right, maybe he should have told her to go to a different hotel.
"I will see you tomorrow" she said and shut the door. She carefully walked into the hotel lobby hoping that Huma had already left Istanbul. Can watched as she entered, trying to decide if he should follow her in, but, then again, she was right Huma would notice him as soon as he walked in. Fighting with himself, he finally drove off.
Sanem checked into her room and then headed to the gift shop to purchase a candy bar and a drink. When she got to the entrance she noticed a woman talking on her phone, she looked familiar but her back was to Sanem, so she couldn't tell who the person was. She was about to enter the gift shop when the woman spoke again and Sanem felt chills down her spine. Huma!
"Look, you just need to listen to me, that gold digging mahalla girl is gone and Can will wake up soon and realize how lucky he was. You just bide your time and he will finally give in to you. Just play it smart."
Sanem wanted to go smack Huma on the back of her head, instead she stepped just inside the shop where she could still hear Huma talking but not be seen.
"I am telling you, you just have to be a little less demanding of Can. You have to play hard to get instead of throwing yourself at him like you did last time. Come up with a reason to offer the agency a campaign and I will work out the details."
Samem didn't wait for Huma to finish her call, she quickly left the shop and headed to the stairs, afraid that Huma would head to the elevators and see her. She walked up to the fourth floor and entered her room. Shortly there was a knock on the door and the bellhop arrived with her luggage. She tipped him and shut the door. She was still stunned and so glad that Can had warned her that Huma could possibly be in the hotel.
She would have to warn him about Huma and what she was up to. She wondered who was on the other end of that phone call. Her errands would have to wait or she would stop in another area of Istanbul for what she needed when she headed to the farm. One thing for sure, she would be headed out sooner than she thought.
She went in and showered and dressed for bed. She wrote for a little while in her journal and as she was about to turn out the light she heard her phone ping with a message.
She smiled as she read Can's words.
"Tatli Ruyalar, sweet dreams"
She didn't bother to text him back but fell asleep with a smile on her face.
She woke up starving, ordered room service and as she was waiting she wrote a little more in her journal. She wanted to go out but she was afraid she would run into Huma. After room service arrived, she poured a cup of tea and text Can.
"Can we meet in my room and order room service instead of going out for lunch?"
"Evet" he text back quickly, Sanem smiled she thought he is probably thinking I want to be alone with him, just wait until he hears. She dressed then called down to the front desk, asking if someone could come and take her bags to her car.
Shortly there was a knock at her door, she asked who it was and when he answered he was there for her bags, she opened the door and asked him to come in. She turned to the bellhop and asked if he would mind placing her bags in her car for her. He stated he would be happy to do that for her. She then asked him if there was a place he could park her car close to a side door so that she could just walk down the stairs and get into her car. He looked at her kind of funny but stated that the stairwell nearest to her room led to a side parking lot and he would be happy to park her car there when he took her bags down then he would return her keys. She thanked him, telling him she was very grateful for his help and handed him a very nice tip. He told her he would return with her keys shortly.
She had text Mirhiban that she would be headed to the farm sooner than she thought, she was going to have lunch with Can and then go see her parents before she headed that way. She sit down to continue writing in her journal, she hadn't realized how long she had been writing until she heard a knock on the door. She walked over and asked who it was and Can answered that it was him.
She opened the door and let him in . "I hope you don't mind eating in my room but I have a lot to tell you. I also ordered for us and it should be here shortly."
"Ah, Sanem, I don't care where we eat or what as long as I can look at your beautiful face." he loved how she blushed at his words. He started to say something else when there was a knock on the door.
"Do you mind getting that?" she asked. He turned and walked to the door allowing room service in with their lunch.
They ate for a few minutes then Can couldn't wait any longer "So what is it you have to tell me?"
Sanem blurted it out "Huma is staying here. I saw her last night in the lobby."
"She didn't see you, did she?"
"No, she was on the phone and had her back to me." She went on to tell him exactly what she had heard. "Who do you think she was talking to?"
"It had to be Ceyda." he answered "She tried to hook us up when we were working with Compass sports before." He could tell this upset Sanem "Look, I am not, never have been and never will be interested in Ceyda, she represents everything I can't stand in a woman."
This made Sanem laugh. "I know this will upset you but seeing her last night, well, I decided to leave for the house today." He frowned but stated he understood why she wouldn't want to stay in this hotel but why not stay a day or two with her parents.
"I am going to see them on my way to the house." she laughed "Isn't it funny, I can't call it home. I would like to see you sometime this week, I would like to tell you about where I called home the past few months. I want to tell you about the people who watched over me after Ayhan came home. And one day, if all goes well, I would like to take you there to meet them."
"I would like that. I would love to see where you called your home and meet the people you came to love." She smiled at him and asked if he would do her a favor. He answered anything.
After she watched Can get on the elevated, knowing he was going to check her out of the hotel, she walked to the stairs and walked to her car, ballcap in place.
