"The first duty of love is to listen" Paul Tillich
Sanem's anne had always taught them that you needed to listen to hear what was being said or else you might miss something important or you might make an error in judgement. To Sanem her anne was the wisest woman she knew, so all her life she had listened, that didn't mean she always did what she was told, but in her mind she always heard her anne's words.
Now, here was a man that said he loved her, yet refused to listen to what she would say. He kept asking her to explain but when she tried, he spoke over her or yelled that she had betrayed their love. He questioned her but didn't listen to her answers. So how did he love her? What proof did she have that he loved her? Oh, he loved her scent, her smell, but did he really love her?
When ever he talked about loving her, when he talked about how he fell in love with her, he always said it was because of her scent.
She loved him though, with all her heart, so she was headed to the mountain hut, and was going to try one last time to talk with him.
