Osman's POV

Sanem is like my baby sister, for as long as I can remember, I have taken up for her and Ayhan. The two just couldn't seem to keep out of trouble when they were little girls. I know Mekvibe and Nihat knew who the real troublemakers were but they always acted as if they believed me when I took the blame. I would do anything for my family and that includes helping Sanem to leave Istanbul to heal her broken heart.

I had tried to reason with her in the beginning about being honest with Can but something or someone would always persuade her not to. Now she has lost him anyway. I am over it though, I have never felt that Can treated her the way she should be treated, I don't care what his anne did to him. That should have taught him more about what he wanted from love and how to love to love someone. But, as fierce as Can Divit seems to be he is afraid of fully letting someone love him and to love someone else.

Today, I make sure I am up early enough to get to the bank and then the agency. I want everything done before the Divits or Leyla arrive at work. I want as much time as I can get before I have to answer their questions about Sanem. I have to walk to the main road to catch a bus or taxi, I don't want any one wondering why I am not driving my car. As I am about to turn the corner, I see Can's truck pull up in front of the Aydin home. I rush on knowing that Sanem's note has been found and I don't have much time.

It takes me an hour to finish with the bank and the agency but Sanem's loan to the Divits is paid in full. As I am about to hail a cab I get a text from Ayhan stating they had stopped for the night and were now back on the road. Sanem will not tell her their destination.

I laugh at that and text back that I have taken care of the loan and am on my way to the butcher shop, for them to drive carefully.  In my mind I can see both girls rolling their eyes at me.

I arrive to the butcher shop, a little later than usual and there stands Leyla. Today is just beginning and already I am wishing it was over. It's going to be a long, hard day because everyone will soon find out about my part in Sanem's leaving.

"Gunaydin" I say

"Where is Sanem?" she replies without a hello.

"I don't know."

"Please, don't lie to me, I know she left your house and Ayhan helped her to leave so that means you helped also." she says with a snap in her voice.

"Leyla, I honestly do not know where Sanem is!" I look at her and she can see I am being honest.

"Where is Ayhan? She will know where Sanem is."

"Evet, I am sure she will." is all I say. Leyla turns to walk toward my house. "She isn't home."

"Then where is she?"

I smile, open the door to the butcher shop and before I walk in turn to her and say "She is where ever Sanem is." I walk in and close the door to the butcher shop, pulling my apron from its peg on the wall and start to work. Evet, today is going to be a long day.
