"Bastard! What the heck?!" I yell.
"Sorry," Kelvin says with a sheepish smile. I roll my eyes.
"Whatever. Now that your little waterbending friend is distracted, I'm out."
"C'mon, you can't go out like this. You're hurt!" He protests. He attempts to grab my arm, which I could've easily brushed away if it weren't for my physical state. I hear yelling from the attic.
"That his mom or something?" I ask.
"Caregiver," Kevin prompts. I nod, like that makes total sense. I wonder where his parents are. I'd sure like to visit my parents if they weren't trying to use me to take over the world.
Kelvin practically drags me to what I infer is his house. "It's a good thing my parents are on vacation!" He laughs.
He pours me a large glass of water, in which I gulp down quickly. I don't even bother stopping for breath.
"Nathan should be here soon. His punishment time is up I think," he explains.
I don't say anything, not really caring. "All I need is directions now. Thanks for the food," I reply casually. I already feel my strength building up once again. I don't know if it's a perk of being the avatar, but I've always been able to recover quickly.
"Where you going?" He inquires.
I hesitate. Honestly, I have no idea. I was thinking about going home, but they'd just inprison me so I won't run off again.
