I smile as pleasant memories flood my mind. My foster parents and I would always pick peaches from the trees that grew in our huge backyard every summer. We'd either make peach pie, or just sit under the shade and munch on the chin dripping sweetness of the fruit.

I wash my hands quietly, unable to wipe away the goofy smile on my face. I haven't been this happy in a long time.

I plop down on the bench and look around. Geez, and guys say girls take a long time getting ready. Five minutes pass by, then twenty. Thirty minutes creep along. I glance around nervously. What do I do?

I peek in the men's bathroom and call his name. No answer. I suddenly feel very nauseous. Where the heck is he? I pace around, at the brink of panicking. But then I notice a white slip of paper tucked into the crack in the bench.

I open it and read it rapidly: we won't hurt the boy if you come with us. Meet us at the abandoned black market on 5th street.

I curse under my breath. How could he let this happen?! That idiot...

I take a deep breath and start jogging towards fifth street. Sure enough, there's a very worn down building that must be the place. I hear the sounds of someone struggling inside. As I open the door, it makes a loud creak.

"Rose! Get out of here! They're bounty hunt--" his voice is cut off from what probably is a gag. I'm slightly hesitant, but walk in anyway. He knows I can't just leave him.

"Let him go," I growl, fire blazing in between my clenched fists. They laugh, which makes my face flush with anger.
