I beam a mile of teeth, laughing at the same time. Not particularly because of my drawing, but seeing Nathan laugh so hard. I drew a picture of his caretaker screaming at him, while he rolls his eyes. It's a bit more cartoonish, making it funnier. The waitress comes over with our meals.

"Thank you for the erm... Sam... Wieches..." I say.

The waitress chuckles as she walks away, which confuses me.

"You haven't had a sandwich before?" Nathan asks.

My face flushes red. Oh. That's how you say it. I know how to read, but dropped out of school at a young age when my foster parents died. Math and reading aren't my best subjects.

"Our city was pretty much completely isolated from the world. There's lots of things I'm learning about," I reply.

We eat, talking and laughing as usual. Utter happiness whirls through my head. But also nervousness, especially when I presented myself as I total idiot with pronouncing things. Why? I wouldn't know.

Okay, maybe I do know. But if I admit why, it'd get worse.

"How does your new arm feel?" Nathan asks as we walk out of the restaurant. The sky is streaked with orange, pink, and crimson. Almost as if a giant paintbrush swiped against the sky as its canvas.

"Amazing. So does my leg. Just wish they were real, though. The clinking is annoying and hard to go by unnoticed," I reply with a smile.

As we walk through the town, the crowds get thicker. Music and the smell of campfire fills the air. I go to the noise curiously, finding some type of party. People dance around the fire, talk and watch, doing as they please. I watch for a moment, but whip my gaze to someone else as they grab my hand. My first instinct is to pull away.

"Wanna be my dancing partner?" Chirps the boy, holding my hand. He's about my age, and tall. I suddenly feel uncomfortable, worried that Nathan might be watching.

What? Who cares? He wouldn't. I think...

It's been a long time since I've danced at parties like these. But believe it or not, I'm good at it.

"Sure," I reply.
