We help each other out; we are allies not friends. Let's just say that are interests do not align when the topic is whether the Avatar is a waste of time or not."
"Oh." Rose replies simply.
We walk for a long time before any of us says anything. "What's the plan?" Rose asks.
"We get you out of the Fire Nation," I reply. "And you learn waterbending. Oh, and you also see a mechanic."
Rose groans. "I'm fine, Mom. We can't afford the time. How do you plan to teach me water bending without water?"
I smile. "We have plenty of water. I know a technique to pull water out of living plants."
"Doesn't that kill them?" Rose replies, shocked.
"Aww, look who's the environmentalist now?" I mock.
"Shut up! I lived in a tree for like a year." Rose replies.
"Whatever." I drawl. "Come on, let's eat. Didn't eat breakfast."
"I didn't either." Rose says. "Let's eat."
