(Not Edited)-

I wake up multiple times from strange, horrible dreams. You'd think they'd just be memories flashing in and out of my sleep, but I get a really bad feeling about them. Well, not just because they're sleep depriving me.

Prophecies are just a myth. The only way the avatar is special is having the ability to bend all the elements. I think. I've never believed in all that "spiritual" stuff with the avatar. So I've never tried to connect to that side.

I glance at Nathan. He's sleeping soundly. So is Luna. I lie there, staring up at the star-filled sky. No matter how hard I try to blow off my dreams, they become even more horrifying than before. So I try to pry my eyes open the whole night.

Dark circles streak under my eyes as the sun rises. Yawning, Nathan sits up.

"Whoa, what happened? You look like you didn't get a blink of sleep," he says.

"I couldn't sleep," I mumble.

"Was it the dreams? You practically passed out when we stopped."

"I'm fine."

I end the conversation quickly, but it doesn't last long. Nathan keeps pestering me, but I keep my mouth shut. I don't want to talk about them, afraid it'll just make them worse. Besides, why worry Nathan over nothing?

"I think you should try going to the spirit world," Nathan blurts out.

"You believe in that stuff? And even if it was real, I don't want to go there. My body would be left helpless, remember?" I laugh. Nathan nods, forgetting the "leaving body" part. He's not in the greatest shape to protect both of us if it came down to it.

"Okay, but I made a To-Do list. There's a mechanic in town!" Chirps Nathan, realizing my shoulders tensing up after out argument.

I smile a little. "Sounds good. This'll be painful."

(A few hours later)

"OW!" I yell as the mechanic twists a screw in my arm. Nathan jumps at my shout.

"Don't be such a baby," snaps the man. I shoot him a glare.

"I told you to warn me before you disconnected that part. If you haven't noticed, it's kinda connected to my nerves," I retort, sarcasm heavy in my voice. He ignores me and places the metallic leg on his work desk along with my arm. The only thing that remains where they used to be on my body is wires and metal around the useless nubs.

"I don't like this. If Evan came now, we'd be toast," I murmur nervously.

"We have no choice. Besides, I bet you're pretty excited in being able to function normally with your repaired limbs," replies Nathan.

I smile a little. "It has been a long time."

It takes a few hours for the mechanic to fix the bionic arm and leg. They were pretty jacked up. I draw a little, luckily being left handed and the gap in my hand closed enough to where I can hold things. Nathan peers over my shoulder curiously, which makes my smile widen.
