"Meditating... Stupidest thing ever," I mumble.

"Heard that," calls Nathan. Oops.

I stare at the light, unsure of what to do. I could always dig it out with a knife. Ouch. Not only would that hurt like hell, it'd mess up my leg. Again. Even though I don't have any other options, I'm still very hesitant. I just got my leg back to normal. Who knows how long till I can get it fixed again? It's not like metal heals itself.

I put the blade up to my calf, but can't bring myself to do it. Funny, how I can pretty much face anything, but am terrified of the two most childish things possible. The dark and well, needles.

I'm such an idiot! Coward! Dig the damn tracker out!

Clenching my eyes closed, I slightly dig into the metal, gasping in agony. The tracker goes berserk, blinking furiously and beeping. The numbness seems to flood over me in a split second. But then it's gone.

"Wha?" I murmur. The blinking goes back to normal, and the only thing wrong is I'm a little dizzy. But whatever that was, I know that Evan and his bounty hunters will be here soon. Maybe even the mechanic. I gulp. If I run, they'll find me. If I hide, they'll DEFINITELY find me. They'll kill Nathan...

That's it. I dig the knife into my calf, gritting my teeth. There's no way I'm making him go through that again. There's no way I'm going to let them catch us. The tracker sends off an electric shock, probably trying to make me stop. I don't.

When I'm done, I toss the tracker and limp towards Nathan's tent.

"We have to leave," I demand. He glances at my metallic calf, worry filling his eyes.

"Wow. Are you okay? Not many people would've been able to do that to themselves," he says.

I grab his hand, and he tightens his grip on my trembling grasp. I limp towards Luna, but we're suddenly ambushed.

"Well, well. Looks like you noticed our mechanic's little tracker," Evan laughs, holding up some kind of electronic device. It has a map, and I'm guessing my location was on there a few minutes ago.

I smirk. "Sorry, but I'm ready for you now. The Firelord may understand if you go back home. After all, he does know how much of a pain in the ass I am," I retort. No answer.

I stream of water launches at me, but Nathan comes quickly to my defense. Adrenaline rushes through my body.

I make a fist, and do a classic firebending move. Nothing happens. No fireballs.

"Wh- what the?!" I splutter, stumbling back. I try to earthbend. Nothing. Evan laughs at my horror. Nathan's eyes widen in fear.

All the bounty hunters stop for a moment, seeming to observe my struggles. As if they were amused. What am I going to do? Nathan can't fight them all off without another bender.

Tears uncontrollably form in my eyes. I can't go back. My dad will torture me. Maybe torture Nathan. I feel so helpless. Out of control. And there's nothing I hate more than those two feelings.
