I absentmindedly scratch the back of my neck. I feel my cheeks blush red. "Uhhhhh," I start.

Rose seems to snap out of a sort of trance, she helps me up. "Let's go," she says.

My eyes widen. "Heck, Rose! Our packs!"

I turn my pockets upside-down, and thankfully I have my wallet. Rose hikes up her cloak, and we quickly buy some basic essentials before scampering off into the woods.

Before long, we reach a small lake and I heal my wounds.

"Hey," Rose says, sitting next to me.

"Hey," I reply back, flowing the water back into the bucket.

"Could we start water-bending?" she asks eagerly.

"Of course," I say smiling. "Come, pupil," I joke, leading her to the side of the water. I help her sit with her flesh leg submerged in the water, so she feels the water as she's bending it.

"Okay," Rose sighs. "How does this work?"

"Waterbending is all about the wrists, and moving with flow, so no robotic motions,"

Rose stares at her leg and arm and chuckles. "No robotic motions, hey?"

My nerves go tight. "I didn't mean it that way!" I say frantically.
