I groan. I'm so gullible. "Okay, whatever. Please don't tell anyone," I murmur, my voice having a bit of fear in it.

"Why would we?" Nathan says with a smirk.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because I could win this entire war if I was on the Fire Nation's side," I snap sarcastically.

"True. Come to think of it, why don't you go back to being the princess and win the war? It'd be a lot easier."

"I don't exactly agree with the monarchy's decisions. That's why I ran away. I'm going to win the war against the Fire Nation."

I can't believe I'm saying this. But it seems like I have nothing else to lose. Nathan looks thoughtful for a moment.

"Okay. I'll help. Kelvin and I are going with you," he decides.

Kelvin seems surprised himself. I glare at both of them with hatred. Just when I thought I was about to get them out of my hair, they decide to follow me wherever I go. But I get an idea.

"Sure. Now that we're on the same page, can you untie me now?" I ask. I already feel my strength almost fully regained, besides the exhaustion. I can use my other elements now as well.

I'm untied, and I immediately jump into action. I bend a gust of wind into Kelvin, slamming him into a wall. Nathan tries to tackle me and put my hands behind my back again. I kick him where the sun does not shine and do a back somersault. I brush the dust off my clothes and walk out.

"Hah, bet they weren't expecting that," I murmur. I pull my long, black leather boots on and jog for a while through the town, not bothering to make sure if they followed me.

The town consists of a few restaurants and shops. For a while I decide to explore. I've always loved doing that, ever since I was little. And for the first time, I feel free. No foster parents. No job schedules. No responsibilities. I can do whatever I want. The thought makes me grin. Before I get to all that "avatar" business, I'm going to have some fun.

I walk into an atlas store and buy a map of all the four nations. It's nice, and I study it as I walk proudly.

"I hope you didn't pay with Earth Kingdom money," I hear Nathan's voice behind me. A rush of emotions well up inside my chest. Frustration, anger, and realization.

Just as he says that, I hear a cashier yell and he runs at me. I smirk and wink at Kelvin and Nathan.

"Gotta run!" I call behind my back as I bolt.
