"Wh- what's going on?" I croak. I hear yelling, and something about it doesn't feel right.

"Rose, can you stand up?" Inquires Nathan.

I raise an eyebrow. "Ermm... I just kinda seared my foot back on. So no, probably not," I snap, "why?"

"We have to get out of here."

I stare at him for a moment, bewildered. Why? Didn't we just get here? He scoops me up once again, and I yelp in pain.

"Sorry!" He exclaims, quickly walking out of Kelvin's house. I'm extremely confused and worried, but don't ask any questions. It would seem hypocritical, since I find it rather annoying when he asks a bunch of questions.

"I wonder what your caretaker is gonna think of this. I mean, it's not everyday someone waltzes into your house, carrying a strange an injured girl," I say with a light laugh, wincing at every step he takes.

"Well, we have no where else to go. I'm guessing you wouldn't mind sleeping in a soft bed tonight. We'll leave in the morning," he replies.

I give a dazed smile. "That sounds nice."

When we enter the door, I hear a woman scream. Nathan heaves a very exasperated sigh.

"C'mon, Annia. Calm down. She's really hurt and you're just making it worse by startling her," protests Nathan.

"H- her leg! What have you gotten yourself into Nathan?!" She screams.

"It's just automail. Please understand. Will you help me?" He pleads.

Somehow he convinces her to let me stay. I sleep the remaining of the day and through the whole night. I don't think I've ever been so exhausted in my life. I mean, come to think of it, so much has happened today.

"Rose, we gotta wake up before Annia. How do you feel?" Nathan whispers.

I groggily open my eyes and sigh with relief. No headache, no pain.

"Like I could take down a whole Fire Nation fleet," I reply, yawning and stretching my arms.

Nathan laughs quietly. "Better not talk like that in this place. I got packs and Fire Nation and Water Tribe money. We'll be set for a while."

I hop out of bed, finding a burst of energy an excitement. I'm currently in a black tank top and some of Nathan's old gym shorts. When he leaves the room, I change into my normal clothes quickly and sloppily braid my hair to the side. After a few minutes, we head out.

"So, what was going on with Kelvin? Where is he, anyway?" I ask as he drives a car. We won't get far in this, but I guess it's a good start. He seems nervous to tell me.
