I begin to crack up as he moved the sphere back and forth.
"What the heck are you doing?" I ask in between laughs.
"I have no idea. Quit playing around," Kelvin says to Nathan.
I shift uncomfortably. The ice is freezing my metal arm, making the remaining part of my arm inside of it freeze as well.
"Ermm... If you guys insist on imprisoning me, could you at least make something else. I'll get frostbite at this rate," I murmur awkwardly. They seem confused, so I explain.
They begin to tie me with rope before unfreezing me. I would've said thanks if I weren't being held captive.
Nathan and Kelvin whisper to each other for a few minutes. I strain to hear something, scowling with annoyance.
"You know, a few years back, the Firelord's daughter ran away. She was the avatar," says Nathan.
"Yeah? So what?" I snap.
"Her name was Princess Rose."
My stomach drops. But I try to keep it cool. "Uhh... Yeah. I bet lots of girls were named after her."
"But you're around the same age as her," retorts Kelvin. I give a sheepish smile. That was a stupid thing to say.
"It would explain your chi, if you were the avatar," remarks Nathan.
I heave a sigh. "Do I look like a princess to you? Besides, I bet the avatar died in the wilderness when she ran away. The Earth Kingdom is farther than you think."
They both raise their eyebrows. "How do you know she went to the Earth Kingdom. No one knows where she went," says Nathan. I gulp.
"Just a guess. I- I have no idea where she went... Please let me go," I quickly say struggling frantically against the ropes. I stare at my boots, not daring to make eye contact.
"You're the avatar! And the princess!" marvels Kelvin.
"Shut up! I am not! You guys are idiots! Let me go!" I shout, unable to hide the hint of panic in my voice.
"If you don't tell us, we're telling the authorities," Kelvin growls. My eyes widen. They'd recognize me for sure.
"What?! No! I mean, that wouldn't do anything. They'd probably punish you for capturing a REGULAR girl who's been through a lot for the past few days!" I snap.
"But you're not," Nathan remarks with a smile. I raise an eyebrow. If they go through with this, I might end up confessing before they do. I'll definitely get captured if they contact authorities, and might get captured if they don't keep their mouths shut. I sigh and decide to wait and see if they're bluffing once again.
