~Eva's POV~

Help him control his bloodlust. The type of vampires the Cullens were, was different from the ones in my world.

While Elijah and the rest were superior species to the humans, with high speed, agility, immortality, and hunger for blood, the vampires of twilight were vastly different.

They too stop aging but the fundamentals of their physic changes once turned.

For example, the coldness of their skin, the powers they retain, how harmless sunlight was to them.

When all things considered, the only conclusion I could come to was that it all depended on the laws of the world they resided in.

The humans in this world must be slightly different from those in ours, more like witches and warlocks and instead of carrying spirit magic, they have dormant mental powers that only vampire venom could fully manifest to its full potential.

It would have been easier to deduce if I knew the origin of vampire creation in twilight. But maybe the Cullens have some idea. Carlisle Cullen did reside with the Volturi for decades after all.

And now looking at the hopeful Jasper I slowly nodded before speaking, "Okay, I'll help..."

"But?" Edward cut in looking at me expectantly.

"Oh, smart boy. You are on the right track. Yes in return I require something. Information." I spoke frankly ignoring the pointed stares directed at me from mates, Kol and Caroline.

Edward grimaced slightly at being called a boy, but well I was an old soul. He'd just have to deal with it.

Alright, alright, I was slightly deviating from the earlier plan. But, hello... there was an opportunity offered right into my lap. How could I possibly not take full advantage of it?

"About what?" Alice questioned doubtfully only to gain a smile from me.

"The Volturi of course." And that was enough for everyone to freeze up.

"What? Why do you want information about them?" This time it was Carlisle who asked, his voice hard, stance stiff.

Seeing this my mates growled their fangs showing, black veins crawling under their yellow and red eyes.

"Stay back." Nik spat coming to stand in front of me.

Seeing this the entire Cullen family froze up.

The vampire side of my mates shocking them.

~Edward's POV~

For the first time since they'd arrived here, I could feel how really dangerous they were. As the four vampires surrounded Eva their fangs bared eyes colored red and the one in the form made me want to step back in fear.

The male was pure power. Eyes flashing a scary yellow and he too like the others had black veins dancing under his eyes.

"Hey guys, calm down." Eva then spoke her voice soothing as she tried to calm down the four.

Looking around I found the fifth male standing away from the four the blonde girl safely tucked behind him. And all his attention was on the one in the front, Niklaus Mikaelson.

The Salvatore brothers were the first to calm down and then after some persuasion, Elijah too stepped back. But Niklaus still looked volatile, ready to kill anyone on his path.

To my astonishment, Eva boldly stepped up to him, her hands going up to his face as she caressed under his eyes. Unafraid of the monster in front of her.
