Silent silhouettes appeared at the compound, the people inside still engaging in the earlier deadlock, neither having any absolute advantage. Kol and the strange man had already exchanged blows numerous times, with each hit the bloodthirst in them seemed to increase. All the while Caroline was still sleeping, unaware of the chaos surrounding her.

Eva, Elijah, Marcel, and Klaus walked in the shadows, making sure to not alert the enemy. Seeing the situation inside Marcel felt his breath almost stop as Rebekah was now unconscious a berserk Barak who seemed to be on his last breath fighting the never-ending vampires as he protected his mate from harm.

The Salvatores did not have it easy either, after all, they are very young compared to the enemies they were facing. But unlike Marcel who seemed lost in his own struggles Eva, Elijah and Klaus did not hesitate to move aiding the four. Finally coming to his senses Marcel quickly sped towards Rebekah as if finally he'd determined something.

With the new arrivals, the situation immediately changed and the attackers paused, even Kol and the unfamiliar man stopped fighting. Immediately we all moved towards each other forming a clear divide from the enemy.

"Isn't this a spectacular view? The entire Mikaelson family is present." The man laughed. He was a handsome man, but arrogance was etched in everything he did and said.

"Who are you? And what do you want with Caroline?" Kol was ready to attack again but at that moment information was more important.

"I too would like to say to you, but keeping you guessing is more fun." Klaus was getting impatient with the insolent speech and all he wanted to do was to cleave his head off and return home with his mate. While the Salvatores grimaced at the man's words.

"I think I finally found someone who can compete with you in terms of annoyance." Stefan quietly whispered to Damon who scrunched up his face.

"Don't compare me with him! I'm not that pretentious... right?"

In response, all he got was a quiet chuckle. Stefan nodded to himself thinking at least he was self-aware.

While all this was happening Eva's attention shifted between the stranger and Caroline. Her eyes widened with each time she shifted between them. And Elijah did not miss this.

"What is wrong?" He questioned gaining everyone's attention.

"Ha-ha..." Awkward laughter escaped Eva as she understood the situation.

"Before I answer that, I have a question for this gentlemen." Eva smiled sweetly. "What are your intentions?" This time he was not able to act the fool for the power in those words directly echoed in his mind as if a being transcended of this world had descended, demanding answers.

"I-I came for my mate." The man squeezed out through gritted teeth but Eva still did not relent adding more pressure. "And?" She urged for him to continue.

"And to t-test him..." He glared in Kol's direction obviously expressing his dissatisfaction with the results.

"Oh." She muttered before completely withdrawing her power.

"You can continue." She waved her hand before turning away.

"What do you mean?" Kol demanded immediately making Eva pause. She was in a hurry to leave for there were two rogue witches causing trouble somewhere, as they were speaking.

The others present were also confused. Just moments ago she looked ready to beat the man into a meat patty, but now she was ready to walk away. It was very unlike her. Eva King never left her enemies a way to come back and make trouble.
