The news of the impending new addition to the family did not bring any unhappiness to the members, instead, everyone was anticipating the little baby's arrival. Klaus was still a paranoid ass with his two-faced interactions with Marcel still plotting to take back New Orleans, while Rebekah played cat and mouse with the man all the while enjoying her days with Barak.

Eva feeling relaxed in a while, walked to the balcony overlooking the city Nik had been trying so hard to claim back. The place was like any other mortal city, with mundane sentiments plaguing everywhere.

But within that was a peacefulness, one that came with the ordinary humans. The supernatural made the city both vibrant and deadly while the humans brought true beauty to it. The true enjoyment they felt made Eva smile, her being longing to be out there.

And as if feeling her desire two people appeared beside her. "You want to go out?" Stefan questioned, placing his chin upon her crown as he watched the city with her.

"We can literally feel your longing," Damon added on linking her hand in his.

"Yes, I believe I want to. Will you two come with me?" Eva questioned looking up at them smiling and the two gentlemen nodded laughing before sweeping her away from the house onto the very vibrant streets of the French Quarter.

Damon and Stefan watched with satisfaction as Eva laughed in joy her entire being genuinely enjoying the movement as she pointed all over, curious like a little kid. That was one of the things so perplexing about her.

Despite being older than all of them combined she was still so new to some of the things of the world and the two of them were more than happy to show the things she'd missed out on.

"Hmmm..." Eva sighed turning to face them as she walked backward, her smile so wide it filled her face entirely.

"I haven't been this relaxed and happy in a while. I love this! I love you two!" She exclaimed before running to them kissing them happily.

Linking her arms with them Eva dragged Stefan and Damon further along finally stopping at a vendor selling little handmade ornaments. They spent the afternoon as such walking the streets according to her preferences and for a moment both the Salvatores even forgot they were vampires who lived with human blood.

"Ooof! I'm tired!" Eva spoke sitting down on a bench as her two mates joined her.

"Well, you did run all around the whole afternoon. For a pregnant lady, you sure have a lot of energy on you." Damon teased making Stefan laugh and Eva hit him lightly on the shoulder.

"Shut up! Just because I'm pregnant does not mean I would be a handicapped lass who needs her men to hold her up." Eva admonished.

"Yes, yes our Eva is the best." Stefan coaxed as she rolled her eyes at his lame response.

The three relaxed enjoying each other's presence, Eva cuddled between them.

For them, it was a fulfilling afternoon.

Klaus watched bored as Marcel half-heartedly flirted with the bartender. To be completely honest while the thought of taking back his city was appealing with Eva's information he knew he did not have to struggle as much and all this scheming was unnecessary.

But if not there would be no sense of accomplishment, hence all this pretending but obviously, that was proving to be defective as he spied his lovely mate on a rather chummy-looking date with the two Salvatore nuisances.

If only he did not keep his former protégé company, then perhaps he could have too tagged along and have some real fun instead of being bored out of his mind witnessing Marcel once again fail to extract Rebekah's whereabouts from him.
