~49. A Mother's Love and Hate~

~Eva's POV~

"Hello Bonnie, where are you?"

"Sleeping as a normal person would do at five in the morning." The sleepy grumble of an answer reached my ears as I still laid on the bed. But to my surprise and astonishment sleep had decided it was not my friend today for the only thing I could focus on was that my mates' mother was trying to kill them and their family.

"I'm sorry for waking up you this early darling. But I need a favor from you. It is about Esther, estranged mother of The Originals." I murmured and just like that, I had her absolute attention.

"What? Did something happen at the ball? And I too have to tell you something." Bonnie told making me sigh.

"Well how about we meet up in a humanly enough hour and we both can talk?" I proposed to which she agreed to immediately, apparently the news was very important.

"And Bonnie, Esther might talk to you. If she did just agree to whatever she is planning and then can you tell me what she is planning?" I asked my brows furrowing as I got confused with the words I spoke.

But Bonnie seemed to understand enough for she murmured her agreement before both of us hung up, this time sleep seemed to have got over whatever reservations it had been holding for as soon as my head hit the bed I was out.

~3rd POV~

The Mikaelson siblings as soon as the sun rose gathered in the living room, their mother already nowhere to be found Finn gone with her.

Elijah, Rebekah, Kol, and Klaus sat in the living room a hushed silence surrounding them.

"I checked her room today. There was burnt sage." Elijah informed and his siblings nodded understanding. Their mother had done a privacy spell further confirming their mother's betrayal.

Just as they were about to go mad doing nothing about it the front door opened, and sets of feet sounding to them, which revealed to be Eva, Caroline, Damon, Stefan, and Edward.

Caroline quickly rushed to Kol's side upon arrival while Eva stood between Damon and Stefan giving small smiles to Elijah and Klaus, knowing they were eager to know what happened yesterday.

"I'm sure everyone is curious, so I'll say it all at once and ask questions after I'm finished okay?" As they nodded she continued on.

"Yesterday the champagne you all drank was mixed with a potion containing doppelganger's blood which served as an agent to bind the five of you together. And according to what I know, then she's to reverse the spell she did a thousand years ago, rendering you all mortal once again. And one vulnerable, Finn was to serve as a sacrifice offering his life in return taking all of you with him since you all are bound. But at least that's what was about to happen.

And thanks to me you all are very well unlinked. During the time she cast the spell to link you all I worked to counter it and I succeeded. With nature on my side, even those old hags on the other side are blind to the little detail. So now I expect a very big thank you gift since I just saved yours and the entire vampire race." Eva smiled cheekily receiving shocked gazes from them.

"What?"

"How?"

"The hell?"

They all looked so confused Eva could not help but laugh, even Stefan and Damon stood there open-mouthed, only Caroline remained unsurprised while Edward looked entirely concerned, perfectly trusting Eva's capabilities.

"So, all this worrying was for nothing?" Damon asked looking mildly miffed as she continued chuckling only to stop short at the intense stares she was getting from Elijah and Niklaus.
