~Eva's POV~
We were all lounging in my living room the day after Niklaus broke his curse. I relaxed back between Damon and Stefan as they held on to my hands my head resting on Stefan's shoulder as I listened to Niklaus briefing on what needs to be done.
First on the list was collecting the White Oak from the bridge and Elijah and Damon were appointed on the task. Since they were the closest to the leaders of this town. Then there was the matter of Mikael.
Niklaus and Elijah just wanted to kill the man as soon as obtaining a white oak stake but I was a tad hesitant considering the consequences.
While killing Mikael did not pose any threat currently I needed to know the place he's kept his version of the white oak. And I was highly skeptical of it being in his possession.
So I voiced my thoughts.
"What about the stake in Mikael's possession? Do you think he has it on hand?"
My questions were met with silence and I continued wanting to explain my point.
"It's just that, if we do not find it, it could fall into the wrong hands and you know how the old bats are. They kind of know everything in the world of living despite being very much dead." I muttered.
"I think it will be with him. Mikael never liked to work with anyone." Elijah spoke portraying his optimism while Niklaus added his potion, it being a tad sarcastic and scornful.
"He thought anyone other than him to be on lesser standards. So yes, I agree with Elijah, he should have it with him. Mikael is too far invested in his ego to work with anyone." Hatred and venom dripped from his words and despite knowing how much Niklaus loathed Mikael's mere existence, seeing it with my own eyes was heartbreaking. The heartbreak, betrayal, and pain the hybrid hid in his blue eyes in a facade of mere eruption violence made my own heartbreak.
The damage done to him by the lesser man was far more serious than anyone thought.
But I couldn't a hundred percent agree with them because Mikael did get together with the Mystic scooby-gang in an attempt to kill Niklaus. So deciding to be skeptical and let them have their way I backed down knowing Niklaus would e able to kill the man anyway and if worst came to worst my powers were always there.
And like that, it was agreed upon. Niklaus would pay a visit to Mikael's currently not so rotting corpse on the way to creating his hybrids while Stefan would stay with me in Mystic Falls away from any supernatural drama for the time being.
Standing on the porch I held back Niklaus before he could walk away.
"Eva?" He questioned.
"I just... Uhm, well you see, in the future your hybrids kind of die." I blurted out fumbling on how to express what she wants.
"What?" Came his furious voice, eyes going hard.
"Yeah... Look when you make hybrids they become sired to you. So I know you can imagine how you would react, taking full advantage of it. They got tired of it and broke the sire bond off and tried to kill you and you being you kill the lot of them." I finished and Niklaus stood in front of me stock still.
"Why are you telling me this love?"
Taking a breath I rushed out what I wanted him to do. "It would be good if you try and turn those who want to be hybrids. Because then we could probably wade off that disaster."
Then to my utter surprise, my last mate started laughing his eyes shining as he looked at me.
"Oh sweetheart, you are absolutely adorable." He whispered making me scrunch up my nose. What did I do?
