Stefan once again found himself among one of the many roofs of New Orleans buildings, as he raced on them tracking for Eva. That beautiful woman of his had given him the slip as soon as she stepped out of the house and now, he was having a hard time finding where she'd disappeared to.

Eva was probably wanting to do her thing alone, but Stefan could not let that happen for his sanity too was on a thin line with his brother missing and beloved mate on a rampage. And the smell of blood he so often gets the whiff of doesn't make matters easier either.

He did not know if it was the city or simply himself, but the urge to gnaw on a human's throat had been frequent and Stefan found himself keeping busy always finding a good distraction from it.

As he sped over the buildings scanning around Eva's figure entered his line of sight. She'd not gone anywhere special just on one of the streets of the French Quarter

Stefan landed softly on one of the nearby buildings observing what she was doing. Eva was crouched down, her hands placed on the ground, black and white curls of magic swirling around her palms as she muttered under her breath.

A few minutes passed as Eva continued, occasionally the energy in her palms experienced bursts as if Eva was experiencing something and Stefan heaved a sigh of relief when Eva straightened her eyes shining with achievement.

He knew that this meant she'd found a clue to finding Damon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damon for the umpteenth time tried to struggle out of the magical bindings around him, not because he did not know it was futile but to escape the never-ending visions flashing in his mind.
A pained groan escaped him as his mind got haunted by the same faces, same images over and over again. He for once did not think it was in this form he'd see his mother again, his mother who had abandoned him and Stefan, the same they both had mourned all those years thinking she'd died.
"Why the fuck are you doing this?!" Damon demanded as the stupid witch cackled.
"Because it's fun and... how does it feel to know that your mate was hiding something so important? Wonder what else she is hiding from you all?"
"Shut up!" Damon groused, only to screw his eyes shut as another vision flashed past his eyes. This time it was a ship, and his mother with her new family saving people from illness, how saintly of her. What made it even more unbearable was that she viewed the riffraff around her as her own children.
How very funny? She could rot in hell for all he could care.
Satisfaction burned within her upon getting her mate's location. She did not hesitate to stalk towards the location which was just a few blocks away.
And while she raced through the streets Eva felt her guess being more and more solid as the only crazy witch in New Orleans who was unhealthily obsessed with Niklaus could only be Genevieve and the death of Davina does not help either.
The New Orleans witches may have been plotting something long ago, but since Esther is no longer in any earthly plane, she had no way to instigate the witches to her bidding. So, the witches were free to follow through with their own agendas, in addition, to doing what they have come back to do in the first place.
While Eva was curious as to what it was, that was not her priority at that moment. Standing in front of the delipidated Eva rolled her eyes at the cliché setting.
It was always the old buildings they use.
Eva muttered a spell to pinpoint how many living were there inside and only two entered her senses. Guessing that it could be Damon and the witch Eva did not hesitate anymore as she stalked in.
