~Eva's POV~
After partying all night, and as if to say 'no, not yet, you still have stuff do,' Tyler's phone rang early in the morning waking the rest of us who had been sprawled on the floor in the process.
Tyler's dad had not survived the fire. The idiotic dead man had returned despite Tyler multiple numbers of warnings and urges and now the boy sat there with his head in his hands while Bonnie and Tyler tried to comfort him.
Elena and Caroline looked sad too saying comforting words to him while Stefan and Damon with Anna went away to get their fill of blood for the day.
Meanwhile, I did not care if the Mayor died or if Tyler was sad. I tried to feel something, but the feelings just didn't manifest. So not wanting to bother the rest I went into Damon's room. After freshening up I raided the fridge finding one of the many snacks I had stored in it. I know not healthy, but it was yummy so, munching on the chips I walked back to the living room before sitting down quite a distance away from them.
While I ate I observed the others. It was really strange how humans feel sorry or sympathy for those who have no relation to them. Weird creatures.
Anyway, at least the chips were tasty. Humans did well there.
While I was pondering on human emotions and whatnot the 'great' Elena Gilbert had thought it was nice to provoke me.
"How can you be so uncaring?" When the sudden question was directed at me I momentarily blanked, now how do I answer to that?
"A person died, how could you be so casual about it?" The more she talked the more scandalized she sounded.
Great interrogated by judgy Elena, so not a great feeling.
"Elena stop." Bonnie intervened trying to stop the ridiculous brunette.
"What is wrong with you?" Elena still continued.
"Uh... I don't care?" I answered which came out as a question. Well, excuse me for being confused I don't know how to answer her question since I don't get why I should be sad!
My answer, or better yet my question stopped her short as she looked at me speechless.
"No offense Tyler, but I really don't care if the Mayor lived or died, well I don't care if half of the town died." I continued telling them the truth.
Bonnie looked as if she expected it, Elena looked disgusted, Caroline looked I don't know what she was feeling and Tyler, the boy had a peculiar look in his eyes.
Just as Elena tried to open her wanting-to-know-it-all mouth Tyker stood up.
"Stop it's alright. Half of the town wouldn't care and would still come to the funeral to offer their fake condolences. At least she is being honest and besides even I don't know what to feel about this right now.
My father was not a saint and right now if his death is good or bad, so just stop alright." He muttered walking away as Bonnie followed him giving us all a look.
I just shrugged not really bothered by his behavior.
"You want?" I turned to Caroline holding out the chips bag.
She stared at it for a moment before walking forward in defeat. "Yeah, I want." She muttered before diving her hand into the bag.
Through all this Elena just stared like she cannot comprehend what was going on.

Everyone except for me, Stefan and Eva had left to pay respects at the Lockwood house. We thought about arriving a bit later.
