~Eva's POV~

"You were right the man has no idea what he is what he is supposed to do." Nik huffed dropping down next to me, the smell of blood wafting off him in spades.

I was sure all of it had something to do with the captive chained to the side room.

"At least this time we should make sure he does not run off somewhere and end up dead because using Jeremy as his replacement is not an option," I spoke resting y head on his lap.

After Nik and Damon had brought in Conner I had divulged them on Jeremy's connection to the brotherhood of five.

While part of his heritage leaned on to being a Guardian Warrior, his human side had his hunter destiny. But now with his soul beast awakened it did not make much of a difference considering that Soul of Liontari was much more dominant than that of a hunter.

He would not become irrational in his vampire hunting but would still be useful in finding the map. But with Conner at hand that was absolutely unnecessary.

"After all the researching I did the afternoon I'm rightfully knackered." I continued on a yawn escaping me as I did.

Bringing his gaze down to mine Niklaus's hard eyes softened his blue boring into mine, the love and care he had for me fully on display.

"It's alright love, you have already given the necessary information for us. Sleep way sweetheart, I'll wake you if there is anything important." Enjoying the hard peck he placed on my forehead I closed my eyes, head on his thighs and hands holding onto one of his and his other over my hip holding me close.

It was the warmest, safest, and most comfortable place I could ask for.

~Klaus's POV~

I watched as she fell asleep, her breathing evening out snuggling closer to me.

And that was how my brother found me, her sleeping with her head on my lap and I staring at her like the besotted fool I am.

"She is exhausted." I informed Elijah while he nodded, "Hmm, she managed to score through everything regarding Silas in that omnipotent library of hers. It is simply a secret stove." My brother shook his head taking a seat himself.

"Where are the Salvatores?" I asked having not seen either of them for quite some time, which was strange considering the amount of time they spent sniffing around Eva, not that anything different can be said for ourselves either.

"One of the people Eva warned of have them occupied. Atticus Shane was seen approaching the Bennet witch." Elijah informed, looking very much unbothered.

Well after the information Eva had provided if this did not become easy then we would have to forget calling ourselves original vampires.

"While you are unbothered by this new development something else has your mind occupied. Mind sharing brother?" I quirked an eyebrow looking at him pointedly.

An on cue his eyes landed on Eva who was sleeping oh so adorably, her nose scrunching up cutely at times.

"She seems overly concerned with the details. Especially about Silas and Questsiya."

Now that is indeed strange, for Eva does not concern herself anything other than the things concerning her or her loves ones.

And Silas and Quetsiya, loved ones? I think not.

But then something else occurred to me.

"Do you remember Alexandros saying that it was about two thousand years ago that Eva departed with her first life?" I asked and understanding where I was going with this, Elijah nodded.
