~Damon's POV~

After tearing at each other in anger both me and Stefan now sat in the parlor with drinks in our hands.

After hearing everything from Stefan I calmed down a bit.

I and my brother both have the same mate, and according to the Bennet witches, there may be more to come.

I sighed wondering what it all meant. If all this was true then that meant Eva was far more powerful than we all thought, which also meant there was a whole lot of danger.

"So what are we gonna do?" Stefan finally asked disrupting the silence between us.

"I don't know. Maybe get to know whether she has feelings for us?"

"Yeah, but I think I already blew my chance." He muttered.

"Oh come on Stefan, you know she would forgive you, just explain to her why you behaved like that and all will be fine."

"Yeah and to do that I need to tell her about the whole mate business."

"Right."

And the silence continued.

"Well, you might want to get on her good side soon since John Gilbert is not good news. The man knows about us and seeing Eva close to us put her on his radar, so you better hurry up brother." I patted him on the shoulder before going upstairs to get some sleep.

~Eva's POV~

Leaning against my car I watched as students mingled about. I was still only eighteen years old, if I wanted I would have been able to enter the high school, but except for feeling for some nostalgia, I did not regret not going to school.

Running a hand through my hair I looked around trying to find the person I'm looking for. Nope, nothing not even a shadow.

My shoulders slumped as I leaned heavily onto the car, I've come here too earlier.

About fifteen minutes later finally she came out.

"Bonnie!" I shouted rushing towards her.

"Eva! You are early!" She laughed seeing my disgruntled expression.

"Yeah, yeah laugh it up, I stood there like a sore thumb with all these kids running about," I muttered linking my hand with hers.

After I spoke Bonnie looked at me strangely before shaking her head. "Sometimes I feel like you are thousands of years older than me."

I just shrugged in response, "Must be because I'm a reincarnated doppelganger person."

"Reincarnated, doppelganger person? God, you are so weird." She said laughing causing me to laugh with her.

And that was when another voice reached us.

"Bonnie wait!" Elena came running standing before us.

"Hey, Elena what's up? I forgot to ask are you standing for Miss Mystic Falls this time?" Bonnie questioned while I ignore the little brat.

How rude! Greeting only one person, but then again why do I care?

"Oh god, I totally forgot about it. And yes, I have to enter it. It was my mother's wish, I have to do it." Elena replied firmly a sad expression on her face.

Bonnie smiled at her comfortingly when her attention turned to me.

"What is she doing here?" She asked with barely contained hostility.

Yeah, and I was waiting for you to answer that. Typical Elena, so predictable.

"What I am doing here is none of your business and what the bloody hell is wrong with you? What's your problem with me?" I demanded having enough of her attitude.
