~06. To Have A Stable Life~

~Eva's POV~

Though Damon looked surprised for a moment he quickly calmed down before looking at me calmly.

"I know how to open the tomb." He stated coldly.

My heart thumped knowing I had made him uncomfortable. Damon for all his bad-boy charm and the villainous act did not like it when other people tried to understand him or meddle with his work.

But, he is my first friend in this world and I do not want him to hurt innocent people seeking something not worth his time.

"I know. But Emily Bennet will not allow you to open it. She does not want you to open it." I told him patiently refusing to show him my fear.

Hearing me he scoffed, "Emily Bennet is dead. She cannot do anything." He said confidently.

"She is a witch Damon, and her descendants are still very much alive. That medallion you've been keeping, she will bloody destroy it."

He looked at me stiffly not believing me.

"Alright, let's put that aside for now. Tell me have you been using Elena's friend? I mean not Vikky the one you attacked, but Caroline." I asked.

From the startled look on his face, I knew everything was going as it was in the plot.

"If I have another way to open the tomb will you, will you stop hurting others?" I asked.

Staying silent for a moment he asked coldly, "Why do care?"

"Because I don't want you to regret what you've done now in the future. And believe me, Damon you will regret it." I told him firmly.

"Fine. Have it your way. But I want that tomb open."

I nodded quickly afraid he would go back on his word.

"Let's go to your house. I'll tell you there. Oh, and I want you to call Stefan and tell him I will be in the boarding house, not the grill." I told him as we started walking again.

After Stefan too arrived at the boarding house I told them everything regarding the tomb opening except for the fact that Katherine is not inside in it.

I was reluctant to hurt Damon knowing it was better for him to find it out himself than me telling him.

Since we required witches for the plan Stefan thought it was a good idea for Bonnie and Elena to be present too.

I did not really care so it was planned that we would all meet here tomorrow since the two girls were busy doing something. Most likely trying to get rid of Emily's medallion.

"What are you telling us?" Damon suddenly demanded, coming to stand in front of me.

"What? Nothing!" I defended feeling slightly guilty.

"No the whole time you were explaining to us you always avoided mentioning Katherine's name. When I asked what happens after opening the door, you said, 'you would see for yourself what's inside.' Why did you say that?"

"Uh..." Cornered and flustered I looked at Stefan for help, pleading with my eyes to rescue me from the conversation.

"Damon I think-" Before Stefan could finish Damon cut him off.

"Don't help her!" He growled still not taking his eyes off of me.

"You should calm down! I'm helping you!" I shouted tired with the hold thing.
