"make it a powerful memory, the happiest you can remember. allow it to fill you up," said harry.

today's lesson was the patronus charm.

lily sorted through her memories, trying to find the one that had made her the happiest, but none really seemed to stand out.

she thought back, to before cedrics fatal death. before the happiness in her life was sucked away from her.

"still thinking up one?" talia asked.

"it's hard for me," she shrugged.

sorting her memories from happiest to enjoyable, she found her happiest one.

her first official dance with ron, where she held him so close she felt his heartbeat, and he called her beautiful for the first and last time.

she felt as if they were the protagonists of the world.

lily held up her wands and swished it yelling the charm, expecto patronum.

almost immediately, light colors began to flood out of her wands and form into a badger running up.

"amazing, lily!" harry praised.

she watched as it ran around her.

"a true hufflepuff aren't you," ernie smiled at her, making her lose focus, causing the disappearance of her badger.

"distracting me, macmillan?" she sneered.

"just saying. patronus' reflect the wizards personality. yours turned into a badger."

"they're gonna bring back the heir of hufflepuff nickname again," talia laughed.

"not again," lily whined.

lily turned to look for ron, who was struggling to control his patronus, which seemed to be a sort of dog.

she smiled watching him.

looking up, seeing the pretty colors of the patronus', she noticed the chandelier moving.

with a loud bang after another, lily started to face facts. they'd been discovered.

everyone gathered to look at the mirror, being destroyed right in front of their eyes.

another loud boom and the wall broke.

nearly everyone got into an attacking stance, ready to fight.

nigel and harry looked through the hole and lily frowned when she heard umbridges voice.

"get them!" she yelled after breaking the wall even more, revealing her and her inquisitorial squad.

lily, who was too tired to fight, let filch round her up but he grabbed her too tight and threw her to the ground.

"don't you dare hurt her!" ron yelled suddenly, shocking everyone.

"is she dear to you," umbridge mocked, walking towards lily and grabbing her face tightly, digging her nails into her cheek.

"yes," he whispered before being pulled back by filch and taken somewhere else.

"this'll be interesting. with me, miss prefect," she laughed cynically.
