I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her, oh
I'm right over here, why can't you see me? Oh
And I'm giving it my all
I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own, ah

Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own

The photographer takes his now empty plates and utensil on the tray, and proceed to place it on the tray return deposit area. The food is truly not bad in his opinion. He expected it'll taste bland, considering that he's in the hospital's cafeteria, where the food was usually cooked in the 'healthiest' way. Which means usually less seasoning. But his was surprisingly had a taste. Salty taste.

Hmm.

Just as he was about to go out from the cafeteria, he spots Vin's girlfriend who is queuing alone at one of the many stands. They had met yesterday at the hospital after Mike tried to inform Vin's emergency contact number. He thought it'll connect to either Kana or the taller man's parents. Turns out the number belongs to Julie.

Mike casually approaches the woman and lightly tap her shoulder, making the hazel orbs turns away from the menu to the dark ones. Mike smiles to the woman, "Hey, Jules. What are you having for lunch?"

Julie reciprocates with the same expression "Hey, Mike. Hmm, I'm not sure." She gazes back to the menu and hums in ponder, "I was thinking of buying the Tuna sandwich and a cup of warm coffee. What do you think? A good combo?"

The photographer nod and decides to tease her a bit, "Very. Tuna is stinky, so a cup of coffee can lessen the smell. Vin will gladly still going to kiss you even if you ate one."

Julie smile turns into a giggle, "Then it's decided. I'm going to buy that one. Are you going to go back to Vin's room?"

"Yes, but for a bit only though, to say goodbye to him," Mike replies.

She then adds, "Then can you help me pass a cup of warm tea to Kana? He's over there visiting Vin."

The photographer's feet instantly feels heavy as his heart starts to beat faster as he heard the beautiful young writer's name is being mentioned, "He's here?"

Julie blinks confusedly, "Uh, yeah. He's at the room right now." She sighs, "He doesn't look that well either. His eyes were red. Might be because he was panicked when he know Vin's admitted to a hospital. I was trying so hard to reach him but ended up only able to text him multiple messages. The amount that I sent must've shocked him."

Her statement worries Mike, making him immediately excuse himself and walk with long and fast strides to Vin's room, leaving Julie who's standing confusedly.

His big strides shortly take him to the long hallway towards his destination. But his steps suddenly stops the moment he sees the familiar man in front of the room.

The cold grey eyes turn at him, silently looking at the photographer as if carefully watching his every movement. Mike swallows his nervousness and lets out a big smile to the bodyguard while hoping his expression won't look too awkward, "Hey, Levi. Never expected to see you here. Why are you here? Is one of your subordinates got hospitalized?"

The man doesn't respond back as he expected. Levi must've known Mike's problem with Sam. Both men never try to reach each other since that cafe incident. It's ironic that the once best friends are now avoiding each other.
