Even though Kai seems like someone who likes to goof around, he holds a lot of responsibilities in his hands. He has now begun to actively attend board meetings at his family's company. This is because his father wants Kai to finally learn how the company runs and gain the trust of the directors.

Kai also has his own management company with the purpose to manage his modelling schedule and probably in the near future, his acting career. Kai has been getting a lot of offers lately to play on a big screen, even though most of them are just side roles.

The future seems to be perfectly in line for him. The life that he had always wanted seems to be so near and Kai smoothly sailing on it. He's now a little closer to reaching his dream of becoming well-known and free. But all of these good things can't seem to set aside his worry feeling about certain someone.

The texts and calls suddenly stopped and Eden has become unreachable these past few days. a few weeks ago the boy seems very busy with something important. Eden didn't tell him what it's all about so Kai just assumes it must be a personal matter.

Kai doesn't know if he should be worried, angry, or confuse as this is not normal at all in his opinion. Usually, Eden will for sure tell him a reason he can't be in contact, before or after the event happened. But, these past few days the latter suddenly just vanished out of thin air. Eden stopped contacting him altogether. It always went to voicemail every time Kai tries to call. At first, he figures maybe the boy still tending to his personal matter. But this has been too long and he got worried about Eden as this never happened before.

Kai was planning to go directly to the orphanage to check on Eden. But, he can't just leave all of his works here. He got many projects lining up for the next few days and it will be irresponsible of him to suddenly drop all of them just because of his selfish reason.

Kai grabs his phone and dials his grandfather's number, hoping if the latter knows what happens to Eden.

"Hello." His grandfather responds.

"Hi, gramps. How are you?"

"I'm good. Just doing some stuff at the moment. Why the sudden call?" His grandfather asks.

"No, I just want to know if something going on with Eden. I can't seem to reach him these past few days." Kai responds as his voice begins to worry. He is afraid something happens and harms the younger while he's not there. "Is he got into an accident or something?"

The line went silent for a while and Kai can feel the tension radiates from the phone. "Gramps? Are you okay?"

His grandfather let out a nervous sigh, "He didn't tell you?" his grandfather asks in caution.

"Tell me what? What's going on gramps?" Kai confuses as a panicky feeling begins to emerge.

Mr Daeng starts to hesitate about whether to tell his grandson what happened to Eden. But deep down he knows Kai needs to know this information. It's just that the old man never expected that he'll be the one who's going to drop the news to his own grandson, "He... got adopted by a foreign couple a few days ago and had left the country as soon as they're done with his immigration documents."

The information surprises Kei and froze him in disbelief. No way. Is this some kind of prank? Please tell me this is just a joke. He promised to tell me when he left. There's no way he broke his own promise to me, right?

"You're joking right?" Kai tries to convince himself.

His grandfather sense's the grandson's anger begins to erupt. But the old man chose to stay calm and reply, "No, Kai. It's the truth. I also sent him off when he leave the orphanage with the foreign couple."

Kai's heart starts to ache uncontrollably as his grip on his phone begins to tighten as the tip of his finger whitens from it. He... left? Why didn't he tell me? What's going on? He seems fine the last time we talked. Why so sudden? Why? Did I do something wrong? 

He told me he likes me. Then why did he leave?

Kai then feels a dampness on both of his cheeks, realizing that he has shed tears. As the ache continues to stab him, self-doubt begins to appear in his mind.

Is it... because of my affection? Did I pressure him too much? Did Eden get annoyed by my feelings? If so, why doesn't he just told me instead of just running away like this? Why does he need to leave without saying anything?

Kai's grandfather breaks his inner thoughts, "Kai? You're there? Hello?"

Kai begins to sobs on the phone, "Why? Why didn't he say anything to me? Why did he leave just like that? Do I mean nothing to him?" As he falls to the floor. The pain in his heart is too much. His head begins to throb as his eyes let out more tears. He sat there while hugging his knees, trying to contain the hurt he feels in his heart.

His grandfather went silent as he listens to his grandson's sobs. The old man knows how Kai feels towards Eden even though they never told him. He's not blind, "I'm sorry Kai. I thought he told you."

Kai answers him with weak sobs as his grandfather continues to listen to the cry, giving time for Kai who begins to repeat a word over and over again with the hurt apparent in his voice. Why?

"Kai, please calm do-"

"What did he look like when he left?" Kai cuts his grandfather. In hopes, the younger at least felt the same loss when he abruptly left.

Kai desperately tries to hold any possible feelings the boy might have. He tries to convince himself that at least Eden still cares about him. Eden returns his feelings. He doesn't want to believe the boy's confession at the waterfall was just a sentence without any meaning. 

Please, just a glimpse of sadness, or regret, or tears, anything. Please don't crush my heart like this.

The old man keeps silent, thinking of a way to not broke his grandson's heart. Kai sense hesitation from his grandfather, "Gramps, please just tell me the truth. Don't lie. Don't try to mend my heart. Tell me the truth."

The old man sighs, "He smiles as usual. He looks happy."

That short sentence felt like daggers to Kai's heart. So, he didn't feel the same way. Kai laughs bitterly at the fact. He should have known. He should have predicted this will happen.

I should have known. Of course, he won't mean what he said. We just spent a month with each other. So there's no way he fell in love with me. 

He's a teenager. Of course, he won't think of this as a big deal. Because for him, all of this is just puppy love. And I... am the only one who's falling.
